Charlotte Gainsbourg Signs Up For '21 Grams'
[Wednesday, September 11th, 2002]Charlotte Gainsbourg has boarded Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's $20 million English-lingo debut, "21 Grams."
The French thesp, who won acclaim for her starring role in last year's Gallic comedy "My Wife Is an Actress," will play Sean Penn's spouse in the film.
The movie co-stars Benicio Del Toro and Naomi Watts, explores the emotionally and physically charged lives of a woman, her cheating lover and an ex-con.
Universal's Focus Features successfully bid for the world rights this summer.
"21 Grams" is to start shooting in November.
