'Cedric The Entertainer' Returns For 'Barbershop 2'

'Cedric the Entertainer' has signed up with MGM to star in the sequel to last years Barbershop, according to Zap2It.

Cedric is said to be scheduling the shoot around the production of his comedy sketch show 'Cedric the Entertainer Presents' as well as the comedy feature 'Johnson Family Vacation'.

Tim Story is already on board to direct from a script by Don D. Scott. Details on the film's storyline are not yet available, but the setting, as with the previous, will take place in a barbershop on Chicago's South Side.

It is still unknown whether other cast members such as Ice Cube, Anthony Anderson, Sean Patrick Thomas, Eve, Troy Garity, Michael Ealy, Leonard Earl Howze and Keith David will be returning for the sequel. Reports are saying that negotiations are taking a long time because the actors are demanding salary hikes.

Production for Barbershop 2 is expected to begin later on later this year.
