Rick Schroder To Debut Direct 'Black Cloud'
[Tuesday, June 10th, 2003]Former 'NYPD Blue' star Rick Schroder is making his directorial debut on the indie Black Cloud, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The feature film is one he wrote and that stars country singing sensation Tim McGraw in his big-screen acting debut.
High Maintenance Films and Old Post Films will produce the project with Schroder, who will also make a cameo appearance. McGraw will also provide original songs for the soundtrack.
'Cloud', currently shooting in Arizona, is an inspirational story about a Native American boxer facing personal challenges as he comes to terms with his heritage while fighting his way for a spot on the U.S. Olympic boxing team. McGraw will play Sheriff Cliff Powers.
