Celluloid Dreams Takes On 'Brand Upon The Brain!'
[Friday, August 25th, 2006]Celluloid Dreams has bought the rights to director Guy Maddin's black-and-white, comedy-horror movie Brand Upon the Brain!, says Variety.
The silent, semi-autobiographical drama follows a 12-year-old boy and his teenage sister in a lighthouse/orphanage presided over by his mysterious and malevolent mother and father.
When new parents discover head wounds on their adopted children, it sparks a probe that leads everyone into the darkest regions of revelation and repression.
