Stephen Fry Finds His Lead 'Bright Young Things'

Emily Mortimer ("Lovely & Amazing") has signed a deal to play the female lead in "Bright Young Things," the directorial debut of Brit thesp Stephen Fry ("Blackadder"), reports Variety.

The picture is shooting on location in and around London and at Pinewood Studios.

"Things" revolves around a beautiful young woman (Mortimer) whose life is an endless round of parties and pleasure seeking. It is based on Evelyn Waugh's "Vile Bodies," which Fry adapted for the big screen.

David Tennant, James McAvoy, and Michael Sheen also star, with cameos from Jim Broadbent, Dan Aykroyd, Simon Callow, Richard E. Grant, Stockard Channing, Helen Mirren, Hugh Laurie, Peter O'Toole, Emma Thompson and Sir John Mills.
