Alex O'Loughlin In 'Back-Up Plan' Talks

Alex O'Loughlin, who starred in the cult vampire TV show "Moonlight," is in negotiations to nab the romantic male lead role opposite Jennifer Lopez in CBS Films' "The Back-Up Plan."

Written by Kate Angelo, the rom-com centers on a single woman (Lopez) who turns to artificial insemination to answer her ticking clock, only to see her backup plan turned on its side when the man of her dreams shows up on the same day that her pregnancy test results come back positive.

Alex O'Loughlin is an extraordinarily talented actor and not to mention drop dead gorgeous! He will no doubt be a tremendous asset to this movie. If you've seen any of his previous work (Moonlight, The Shield, Oyster Farmer, The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant, Feed, August Rush, The Invisible), you know what an incredible actor he is and how he completely inhabits whatever role he takes on. I can't wait to see this movie!

Wow, great cast! Alex O'Loughlin is one of the best actors I ever seen. He did many different characters and he shines in every role. He's an actor with sooo much talent! Can't wait to see it! Nice couple

It is fantastic news for Alex.Alex is an amazing actor. He is the actor with more talent that I have seen in my life. And in his new movie I am sure that it will do a big role. I cannot hope that to see him.... we love you Alex!!!

Alex is a gorgeous and talented actor. I love him in all of his characters
I believe Alex will be magnificent and unforgettable (as usual) in the Backup Plan

Alex O'Loughlin is a brilliant talent. I have all that he has done on DVD - TV and movies - and if you haven't already, do yourself a favor and get them. The man can do no wrong on film! This is a great year for Alex and his fans who have missed him so much since Moonlight. He will be guest starring on Criminal Minds on 4/29/09, he is filming the pilot for a new series called Three Rivers, and WhiteOut may FINALLY hti theaters on 9/25/09. I am very excited about The Back-Up Plan. If Alex O. is in it I know it will be fantastic!

CBS made a excellent choice by preferring Alex O'Loughlin as the lead for this movie. He's an absolute charmer and hot with it, as well as a very talented actor, so he'll be perfect in "The Back-Up Plan". I expect the script will be a cut above the rest as far as rom coms go; Kate Angelo is penning it and she did a brilliant job with "Will & Grace". I can't wait till the movie hits the threaters!

I love all Alex O'Loughlin's work. He is so talented and can play anything from a moody vampire to a serial killer (Criminal Minds, April 29th. He will be perfect in this role, and the fact that he is gorgeous with it doesn't hurt.

Wonderful news! Can't wait to see Alex in a movie again. I found his other work to be a real treat everytime, great story and compelling acting. He owns whatever role he takes on.
Will be fun and interesting to see him in a romantic comedy, he's already the man of my dreams lol

Can't wait to see Alex on the big screen. He is talented and this should give him a whole lot of new fans. JLo's fans will discover what we already know, the man can act. Way to go, Alex!

I can't wait to see Alex in this movie, I know he will be great because he is a very talented actor who portrays each role real really well and is not afraid to show his feelings.I anxiously waiting for the movie to come out.
