[Wednesday, October 26th, 2005]
Chiwetel Ejiofor is set to join Clive Owen and Julianne Moore in Universal Pictures Children of Men, says Variety. The feature, helmed by Alfonso Cuaron, takes place in the near future, where mankind has lost the ability to procreate, and the world is rocked by the news that the youngest person on Earth -- who is 18 years old -- has died.
As chaos erupts, a former radical (Owen) is engaged to be the protector of the most sought-after person on the planet -- the first pregnant woman in almost 20 years. Ejiofor plays the leader of a radical political faction bent on controlling the future of the human race.
