'Dont Send Help' Shouts Deep River
[Wednesday, August 7th, 2002]Deep River Prods. topped several rival bidders with high-six against low-seven figures to acquire the comedy pitch "Don't Send Help" from Geoff Rodkey and Al Franken, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The logline is being closely guarded, but the plot is said to revolve around the relationship between several supermodels and one geeky guy.
Other bidders for the project included Spyglass Entertainment and 20th Century Fox, sources said.
Deep River toppers Friendly and Turtletaub will produce along with executive producer David Higgins, who brought the project into the company.
