Universal Studios Take Over 'Doom' Game

Universal Studios have bought the movie rights for the video game Doom from the game's maker, Id Software, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The project had previously been with Columbia Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, where it was under a condition to shoot before a certain time or else the rights reverted back to Id Software. Enda McCallion is still set to direct.
