John Hodge To Adapt 'The Dark Is Rising'
[Wednesday, October 12th, 2005]Scribe John Hodge has been hired by Walden Media to adapt Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising, says Variety.
The story centers on a boy whose life is turned upside down when he learns he's the last of a group of immortal warriors who dedicate their lives to fighting the forces of the Dark.
The book is was first published in 1973, 'The Dark Is Rising' is the second in a series of five books that also includes 'Over Sea, Under Stone', 'Greenwitch', 'The Grey King' and 'Silver on the Tree'.
