DVD Review
New York City based studio, the Nightlife Media Group selected the hottest, easiest-to-learn dance moves and broke them down for you, step by step. This video teaches you exactly how to dance in clubs so you can have better, wilder experiences when you go out. Here is how it works. First, just the guys show you each move full throttle, then slow it down, and teach it to you from the front, back and other angles with close-ups so the specifics are easy to see and learn. Everything is covered. They tell you exactly what to do, how to stand, where to put your hands. Interviews throughout the video with real girls breakdown common mistakes most guys make. Then the instructors show you exactly how each move should look when you are dancing with a partner. Things get more intense when they show you exactly how to grind and provide you with smooth transitions to get a girl dancing closer to you. Nothing outrageous, nothing cheesy, this video teaches you the hottest hip hop moves so that you can be relaxed and confident when you're dancing.

Practical, Well Made, and Perfect For Clubs - Rating: 5/5
I received this DVD as a gift from my girlfriend. It's got really good moves and practical advice. The grinding section is especially useful. I've definitely improved in my dancing because of it..
O.K. for some dance moves - Rating: 3/5
The instruction techniques are ok, some easy to follow & learn & some not so easy. I found it somewhat difficult to apply the dance moves to the beat of some songs. Unfortunately there isn't much else out there instructional wise.
Great Video - Rating: 5/5
If you want to learn how to dance in a club then this is the video for you! The first time I got compliments for my moves, I knew this was a worthwhile investment. There's nothing to it really but you need to start somewhere. The instructors show you everything you need to learn. I'm waiting for volume 2 so I can get even better.
Confidence boost in and out of the club. - Rating: 5/5
If you're sick of standing around feeling like a lemon who doesn't look like he's having much fun (like I've felt in clubs for years) while other guys and gals are dancing away - this is the solution, period.
I received my copy around 2 weeks ago after 6 years of going out drinking and never *once* dancing. Sure I'd been asked before by a few women, but I didn't know how, I didn't think I could, I didn't even think I would *enjoy* it. I always turned the invitations down.
It's all changed now and even though I've only watched the DVD twice over and practiced for around 15 minutes in total, I'm confident in my basic ability to dance and the thought of dancing doesn't phase me anymore. I know I could dance the entire night with only a few basic moves I've learned from this DVD if I wanted.
It's exactly what I needed as a total beginner - there's simple side to side movements mixed in with plenty of actual 'moves' that stand you out as someone who *knows* how to dance and places you firmly above most people in the club who don't really know what they're doing.
There's at least 7 interchangeable moves on this DVD. I haven't mastered them all yet and there's only one I didn't like the look of, but with the few I've practiced so far, I was able to dance in the bar last Saturday and actually 'let go' and enjoy the atmosphere. It's a real buzz.
One aspect of the DVD I liked was there were 3 different dance teachers for each move, demonstrating different techniques and individual styles. That means, for every move, you're getting 3 different ways of doing it... meaning there's over 21 combinations. On some moves, you may not like what one teacher is doing, but like what the other two are doing... you simply pick which version of each move you like from the 3 demonstrated... or even add your own little twists on top.
Overall it's a mega boost to your confidence which flows out in to your real life away from the clubs/bars too. It's great knowing you can do something, do it well and have the ability there any time you want to go out and guarantee a fun night.
The thought of dancing should be exciting, not daunting or scary. This DVD changes it all and I thoroughly recommend it, especially to complete beginners like I was.
decent steps, has some flaws - Rating: 3/5
decent steps are learned, and the instructions are not bad. it's a bit cheesy, but not overly.
i'd prefer if they slowed down some of the more complicated moves, and broke them down further. i couldn't quite get some of them.
also, they should add more on using your shoulders and what to do with your arms, other than "whatever you want".
they could up the production quality a bit for the next one. sometimes out of focus, disco lights shine right in camera, hard cuts.
the commentary by the girls is unintentionally hilarious. some of their sage advice is: "buy her a drink", "don't be too drunk", "act cool and confident". gee, thanks
here's some advice from me:
have a couple drinks to loosen up, but not enough to get drunk.
make sure you're wearing clean clothes, showered, and wearing anti-perspirent.
a touch of decent cologne.
brush, floss, mouthwash, chewing gum.
clothes that don't show perspiration, or dandruff in black light
try to have fun and not be all club-serious
smile when you're dancing
impress her without looking like you're trying
