Twilight movie - Rating: 5/5

I did enjoy this movie. It is, of course, a little different than the book, but enjoyable. The more I watch it, the more I like it. I like the characters, and I do think they did a good casting job. I will buy each movie made. Love it. Good job Stephanie Myers!

twilight - Rating: 4/5

this movie appeals more to the younger age group(14 to 18 or so) my 14 year old daughter loved it watched it 4 times,im 52 so for me it was kidish but a good story!

"I've never craved a human's blood more..." - Rating: 5/5

I had seen & heard all the hype surrounding this film, and at the behest of a friend, I went to see the movie. I was not disappointed! Although the main draw of this film--aimed at teens--are the vampire elements, it is, foremost, a love story...albeit an unusual one.
Like the hugely successful "Titanic" a decade earlier, this is a deeply affecting romance, frought with teen angst, vampire lore, and dashes of humor. Of the latter, I don't know if the sprinkles of humor were all deliberate (it seemed CGI effects & character reactions caused the audience to snicker at times), "Twilight" overcomes these moments with sweeping (if brooding) emotion from its two lovers, Bella & Edward, as well as sweeping romantic moments of grandeur (much like "Titanic"). We're somehow with Bella & Edward as his secret is uncovered by her, and they venture into a seemingly impossible romance, questioning their own sanity.
As far as the performances of its two stars (Stewart & Pattinson), I've heard it all: "He lacked intensity & seemed absurd" or "She's the worst actress". My opinion: For young actors at the start of their careers, they handled their roles quite well. I've also heard the inevitable comparisons between book & film: "The film's not as good". No comment from me, because I've never read the book! I just know what I've seen, and I really enjoyed it (case in point: they're already working on the sequel).
As with many a vampire saga, "Twilight" tries & succeeds in redefining what we know--or rather, seen--in preceding films. And since its targeted mainly at the teen crowd, the story reeks of the "Now" generation in camerawork, fashion & music.
When I got the DVD, I watched it four times that week, mostly to catch all the little details in the story. A film to definitely treasure!

I love this movie - Rating: 5/5

This movie is fantastic. It does the book justice which not many movies based on books do. I love it
