Decent B movie. Ending makes no sense. - Rating: 2/5

***MAJOR SPOILER WARNING***

For those who have seen this movie, isnt it a little funny that they are so powerful at the end and yet can't just fix the problem or deflect the blast? lol.

when EE does not include the two kids - Rating: 1/5

everything predicted came true when it came to the total numbers of dead but at the end the EE was supposed to mean everyone else, but just like every movie ever made the kids somehow managed to overcome this and lived.i guess all the predictions was not right.seems like every movie that comes out try to be different but they only come out being the same as every other movie made.

Excellent beginning - until they drove it off the cliff of stupid script writing - Rating: 1/5

I hate to write this, as I actually like Nicolas Cage. However, the best actor in the world could not have salvaged this script. How to describe the problem? The best way to start is to look it up on IMDB, and then look at the resumes of the two script writers. They essentially have none. It really, really shows. The film starts off well, with a couple of picky contradictions that I forgave. I shouldn't have. They were the canary in the coal mine, warning of either poor research or total noncomprehension of the topic.

After a decent first hour, the script started compounding it's mistakes, like a six year old caught in a lie. Not only are the aliens, given their power and knowledge, irrational, but the parents in the movie get a terrible case of the stupids. The cast really tries to salvage the script. However (spoiler alert) you just don't wave a gun at the aliens who are saving you son from certain death, especially when you already know he is about to die! This, and several other truly awful moments, make me utterly unable to recommend the film. My wife found it ridiculous also, and she and I are opposite ends of the movie watching spectrum. Do not purchase this movie unless you have seen it, and KNOW you like it.

Ragnarok with alot of false flags! - Rating: 4/5

This is a great movie and as I watched it knowing the norse idea of ragnarok and fate I was laughing my but off seeing how well the story was written to fool people who believe in the worlds three main belief systems.Among many here is an example of each, first, Caleb is a jewish name which appears in th O T. book of numbers.Second, in Islam the black stone is an object that fell to Heaven to Adam and Eve and where it fell was the place an altar of sacifice to the O. T. god was to be built.Third was the fact Nick Cage's dad was a christian church member and they are reuntied in the movie. There are lots of others but that is just a cleaver plot device to hide the real myth being shown here.STOP READING NOW IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!Ok the time capsule which is dug up is a reference to the Well of URD (which means fate) and the girl who wrote down the numbers was forced to put carve the last set of numbers in a wooden(stave) door.Norse runes are often cast in wood and Odin is the God who hung in the World Tree Yggdrasil (which appears at the end of the movie). The group of Blonde people are so Scandinavian it makes you laugh. In the Norse myth of Ragnarok only two humans survive a man and a women their names are Lif (life) and Lifthrasir (longing for life). In the three main belief systems many chosen are saved, why anyone would compare this movie to those belief systems is beyond me.In Ragnarok everyone (god, monsters and men) fight to death at the end, with only two humans a few animals not being killed. The only member of the race of Giants who survives is the Fire Giant Surtr who completely burns everything on Earth. The fact that the blonde people are aliens comes from a more mordern Scandinavian belief that the Gods and Giants are really aliens who came to earth many aeons ago.Now watch the movie again with this in mind and you will see how you where fooled by Loki no doubt!

Great Premise Fell Apart 1/2 Way Thru - Rating: 3/5

I will not post any spoilers here, but what started out as a great 5-star music fell apart about 45 minutes into the film when too much was revealed and the main plot and susequent ending became exposed....... then for the last half of the movie it simply got a bit silly waiting for what you knew was coming.
