I did buy the out of country complete 5 season set and it was the worst buy I've ever gotten. I would hold on scenes and jump around it was made in china so I bet there is to much lead in it too. It was the second biggest mistake I've ever made in purchasing complete sets from out of counry. One was this one from China and second from Canada yes Canada who new . I will never buy from the companies out of the USA you get burnt everytime.So I hope the networks will work this out and quit trying to make all their money off of my purchases and especially with Ally McBeal. Which we all know will make money because it's fan base is great in numbers and will be bought as long as they don't try to gouge each of us. Like said B-4 Fox get your act together and get this great show out their and quit trying to use it as a way of making it another bail out...

I have been waiting for years to get this wonderful series on dvd, but nothing, they have it in England and Europe, but not in the U.S.,why penalize the American viewers over trivial money issue's, we want and deserve the entire 1st season and the rest of the show in a short time line, the repeats don't play here in Washington state, and I absolutely need to see the 1st season finale with Josh Groban, Please settle whatever is holding up the US lunch of the DVD release so We the fans can buy them, and you can get even richer then you already are!

im guessing the biggest factor that fox is considering is whether the cost of getting the rights to all the music for the show is worth the trouble to release all the seasons on dvd.
and for the life of me i dont understand where all the hesitation is coming from! lucy lui is now a moviestar, calista flockhart has a new hit tv show with brothers and sisters, and robert downey jr. (who joins the cast towards the tail end of the series) is the currently the planets biggest movie star!

It doesn't suprise me that the music industry wants huge amounts of money for the song rights in Ally McBeal. When is the music industry going to grow up?! Yes...the artist are entitled to royalties on their music and yes...the record companies are entitled to their cut, but hold back a TV series from release on DVD because of money....? Goes to figure, money drives the world. What the music companys are missing is that there are thousands of us Ally McBeal fans out here waiting for the release of this TV series in Region 1 format. Come on guys!! Let up a-bit and let us fans enjoy the TV series again.

Ally McBeal was my favorite TV show with exception of "I Love Lucy". However Lucy is still being played in reruns and has been for over fifty years.
I wish the studios and copyright people would realize the injustice of this delay on Ally release so I could purchase it and enjoy it again. Hey, not only would it make me happy and thousands of others but is would generate the greedy uppers their precious millions of dollars. Come on and get with the program and give us Ally McBeal back to laugh and cry with. Thanks for letting me get that out!
