DVD Review

The 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl had it all - drama, trick plays and an overtime 43-42 victory by underdog Boise State over Oklahoma in one of the most spectacular finishes in college football history! The Broncos appeared to be finished when Oklahoma cornerback Marcus Walker intercepted a Jared Zabransky pass and returned it for a touchdown to put the Sooners ahead 35-28 with a minute remaining. However, on fourth and 18 on the ensuing drive, Zabransky hits Drisan James, who lateraled to Jerard Rabb, who scampered in for a touchdown with seven seconds remaining in regulation. Overtime started with Oklahoma scoring an Adrian Peterson touchdown run. The Broncos answered with Vinny Perretta's fourth-down touchdown pass to Derek Schouman. With Boise State down by a point, Boise State head couch Chris Petersen decided to go for the victory. One the game's decisive play. Zabransky faked a pass, then handed the ball behind his back to tailback Ian Johnson, who raced into the end zone for the two-point conversion and the victory. This DVD includes the commercial-free complete Fox Sports game broadcast as well as special bonus features highlighting the Broncos' perfect season, a must-have for any football fan!

What more can you say? - Rating: 5/5

I didn't watch this game when it initially aired. However upon hearing about this game after it happened, I had to see it for myself. When I found out there was a copy of the game available on DVD, I had to get it. Boy, am I glad I did! An absolutely phemonenal game, unquestionably one of the best college football games ever. The game in and of itself would've been well worth the price, but some nice bonus features were added as well. Both the picture and sound are crystal clear, as if you were watching it live or had DVR'ed it. An essential addition to any college football library.

Best finish ever in a college football game - Rating: 5/5

The reactions of the fans as the drama unfolds say it all. At some point, everybody in the stadium was sure their team had won the game, then at some other point everybody was sure their team had lost the game.

This game is like a great movie where you know the ending yet you still find yourself on the edge of your seat every time you watch it. Boise State dominated the game and was doing a good job of controlling the ball and burning time as they cruised to victory...or did they? Oklahoma found a way to pull it out...or did they? Boise State had surely been handed a gut-wrenching loss...or had they? Oklahoma got down to business immediately in overtime, finally restoring order to the galaxy. Or did they? Three trick plays executed to perfection. The hero got the girl. Unbelievable.

The Best Football Game of all Time - Rating: 5/5

This is the greatest football game of all time. I watched this game live and taped it. The game is so fantastic that I watched and re-watched it until my video tape wore out, so I bought the DVD and couldn't be more happy. The video quality is first rate and the sound is outstanding!

The original broadcast is complete minus the commercials and some of the post-game analysis. The bonus features include a shortcut version of the game that skips the time between plays, player highlights, team highlights and a segment featuring selected plays with the local Boise radio audio. It also has the post game interviews and Ian Johnson's proposal.

Must buy! - Rating: 5/5

If you have not seen this game, this is a MUST BUY for ANY sports fan! By far, the best college football game I have ever watched. I thought the 2005 Rose Bowl with Leinhart and Young was exciting, but it does not compare at all to the level of intensity this Fiesta Bowl presents. Must buy!!!

A Game to Remember - Rating: 5/5

I was so thrilled to watch the game unfold.....one scream after another. This DVD does a bang up job of reproducing the game in different formats, fast play, normal time lapse, and highlites. I do not collect football dvds, I like vignettes of history. What a game.
