Disappointed - Rating: 2/5
The DVD looks more promising than it actually is.
The workout targets people that have been working out for a while, if you are one of the lucky ones it is recommended!
Envy This... - Rating: 4/5
We think these videos are great and we love each of the workouts. I have already recommended these to my friends. Worth every penny.
It's a great set of DVDs, but sound and some features are a little off - Rating: 5/5
First, I will just say that this set of DVDs (one DVD each for buns, abs, legs, and arms) is an EXCELLENT workout. One of my favorite things about these DVDs is that the warmup is very short but effective. The same warmup is on every DVD, but since the warmup is so effective, there's no stopping to explain moves, etc. You just follow along, and it's really easy to pick up the moves, even for a beginner. The primary workouts are the same deal - minimal talking, no "watch me step by step" wasting time, so it's very well paced. If you don't understand the moves, there's actually a feature on the DVD that you can watch where the guy who designed the workouts takes you through step by step.
One thing I noticed that irks me a little in the warmup is that sometimes the movements will skip a beat of the music, but I'm kind of picky about that sort of thing. If you don't pay close attention you won't notice.
The music, while pleasant, seems to be very quiet from what I'd expect. I guess it's kind of a positive because sometimes the music can get on your nerves after a while of doing the same workouts over and over.
The buns and legs primary workouts both actually repeat all the moves from the beginning (so instead of creating new moves for the entire workout, you end up doing 2 sets of the same workout). Not a huge dissapointment, but just something to be aware of. I haven't done the arms workout, so I can't comment on that yet.
When I clicked on "Special Features" in the DVDs, my dvd player (a playstation 2) rebooted. Since my playstation is older, I don't know if it's that specifically that caused the problem, or if the DVDs just have a special feature to reboot when you click "special features" (haha). Since the introduction that you can't skip through is about 3 minutes long, it's slightly annoying, but you can go get a drink of water while you wait I guess.
You'll also need to get a 3-5 pound weight to hold for the exercises. Every single DVD utilizes a weight. I don't see that included in the product description.
Brilliant workout - Rating: 5/5
Hi, I teach dance aerobics and own lots of dvd's.This one is amazing. The girls have brilliant bodies and there are some new and exciting moves in these videos. The workouts feel great and really work you hard. Loved it!
Great workout! - Rating: 4/5
I highly recommend this series. My only complaint is that since there are four discs, it doesn't make it easy to do the disc simultaneously (especially since there is about 5 minutes of filler with "don't do this without doctor's permission). The person in charge should have made this a quick to menu thing.
