Wrote this the other day:

Soul of An Underclass

When I sleep at night I think my thoughts, feel so much pain
Stress plagues my brain, can't recall my own name
Writin down words of wisdom to wash away the shame
My future's broken down, my fatha's not around
I need a reason to live, a worthy cause that is sound
To invest my body, pound 4 pound
Or send me to the streets, where dealers and snitches meet
Thats not 4 me, give me a purpose to make my soul complete
I learned long ago in this life there are no friends
Only beneficiaries who seem to pretend
Infiltrate the family then attempt to blend
Can't contain the hunger my heart continues to send
Holdin me back are cuts and scars no one can mend
Nothin is certain, but I resign as the devil's player
Wherever this road takes me, send down the lord's prayer
Never will you understand this tortured angel's actions
Only in my shoes can you comprehend in dismal fractions
Wear my clothes, yet you feel no reaction
Carry my soul, then will you see the the bruises my life has sanctioned
Look to this lonely stranger's face, and you wonder where his heart has been
Enduring struggles no man's eyes can ever see in
Those of which have caused his heart to freeze over, like Artic skin
No he is neither White, Black, Asian, or Dominican
He is the image in your reflection that the mirror brings
