Will Anakin be known as Darth Vader before his injuries and the use of his suit? I haven't seen or heard anything concerning this subject yet, and was wondering if anyone else has.

I don't know but if we did that would be pretty neat.

My take is that he will receive his "Darth" name when he becomes a Sith. The suit is basically a lifepreserver, not so much a uniform of the Sith. So the suit and the name are not connected, as far as I'm concerned.

yes agreed. He could be darth without the suit but i do think that it will be used to symbolise his tranistion to the darkside anyway.

My guess is that when the famous duel takes place Anakin will only be using the darkside and not become a full-fledged Sith lord. Then once Palpatie gives him the suit he will be Darth Vader.

I think GL probably pulled it from invader, but it also means father in Dutch.

You may have, but I'm new here and had a question I thought you all could answer. If asking questions, new or old, upsets folks here, I guess the discussion part of being a discussion fourm is a false title.

Anyway..It's kind of hard to say at this point whether Anakin will be known as Vader before he gets his mask..but if I had to quess I would think that he would rename himself afterwards..it just makes more sense to me.

Yes, Dimmy, I think donning the suit will be a very nice and suitable visual transition from good Anakin to bad Vader.
