What was the scene Gambit was suppose to be in anyway.

Kes
When the prof is attacking the mutants with the cerebro we see close ups of mutants and we see Gambit in a casino or something like that and his powers are going crazy.

Kes
He said that the deleted scene with Jubilee wasn't in the book.

X-WOMen
I didn't know where else to post this amazing info in so why not here.

From www.kryptonsite.com

The film X2: X-Men United has three connections to Smallville. Curious as to what they are? Here you go:

First off, and most prevalent, is the fact that Shawn Ashmore, who played freak of the week Eric Summers in the Smallville episode "Leech," plays Bobby Drake a.k.a. Iceman in the movie. Eric's last name of Summers in "Leech" may also be a nod to the X-Men, as the X-characters Cyclops and Havok both share that last name.

Jill Teed, who played Bobby Drake's mother, might also be a familiar face. She played police captain Maggie Sawyer in the Smallville episode "Insurgence."

Next up is Xavier's School. It may look a bit familiar too. Maybe some bald guys and some magnificent people usually tend to hang out there. Yep, that was indeed Luthor Mansion you saw in the movie

Isn't that amazing?? eek!

Shadow_King
wow

BOPRecruit 16
wouldn't the delted scenes be on the dvds?

Shadow_King
yep

snlovergirl
the scene with gambit is in the book. hes in the middle of a game of poker and i guess he is still fairly young because they made it sound like cerebo triggered his powers. the cards started to glow and his eyes turned red, all of this he seemed surprised at. there was also a part in the book where hank mccoy becomes the "beast"

Paola
WOW!!! eek!

That is COOL!!! http://www.killermovies.com/forums/images/moresmilies/jawdrop.gif

Kes
Maybe he just seem suprised that he couldnt control his power?!Because the guy they pick to shot the scene is late 20s early30s.

verauko
Because she asked Pyro to help her with light the primus so she could make a soup (for example :P). And he got irritated (i don't know why) and instead of making a small flame he made huge ;P (it looked like he was doing it specially) and that's why she was angry with him smile

sugarxen

I did a search here and this was the only thread about deleted scenes (with them as topic) that came up....

I watched the X-men 1 dvd deleted scene where Storm teaches the students about christianity in the roman world. She asks how christianity got accepted and a student answered: "The emperor became one?" And she says it's correct.

This is actually not true...
She refers to Constantine (she mentions the name) and his verdict in 313 in Milan where he accepted christianity as religion.
BUT
The emperor in 311 was Galerius and he proclaimed just before he died that the christian religion is officialy recognised, making it also illegal to be prosecuted.

So, it wasn't Constantine that "accepted christianity", that was Galerius, Constantine confirmed it in the verdict of 313 together with all the other religions there were (see Lactantius, De mortibus persecutorum 48.2).
This emperor was believed to be christian, though it is curious to why he only got baptised just before he died.

Saying that Constantine was the one who gave the final acceptence is wrong too, since between 361 and 363 the emperor named Iulianus prosecuted christians again and promoted the neoplatoism.

____________

Just me nitpicking smile

Jury
maybe Constantine was NOT a "real" Christian .. i suppose

yerssot
not in the traditional way, but he was the first one to get the prosecutioners of their back... and it's not known if Constantine was christian in his active life

Jury
he's not .. i just knew it roll eyes (sarcastic)

yerssot
"What do they call you? Psycic?"

y'know... it sounds better when Jackman makes the joke sad

aussiefan
