I heard on Discovery that left handed ppl mostly use their right side of the brain (math), and the right handed ones, the left side (art). I dont know if that's true, though.

i heard the right side of the brain was better for the arts. .

I heard the same thing and so far it has been true...
i also heard that left handed people are twins or were supposed to be a twin, but possibly they absorbed their twin the woumb before they could fully develop....

you cannot make your child use a special hand...for example, say if your child was born left handed, but you wanted it to be right handed....if you smaked it or something when the kid used its left hand to do stuff, and tried to force it to use its right hand, then it may end up to be mentally damaged

that's not true too. in communist Poland, children were not allowed to use treir left hands at school (yeah, i know it's cruel). my mom and her sister was born as left handed, but they had to write by right hand. today, they both are right handed. and they are not mentally damaged.

The difference can indeed be disturbing. Both hand look the same, kinda feel the same but what is so easy for the wise hand can be such a challenge for the other. Weird

But really, it's just because of training. You spend years practicing doing complicated stuff like writing with your good hand, while the other is just there for keeping the paper in place. No wonder it get's lazy.

Hmm this got me thinking of a contest! One will challenge the other to do something challenging with the odd hand, like a self portrait for example, or a sculpture. Who's in?
