Animal House:

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests - we did.

But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

differently sams speech at the end of the two towers I love it I watched LOTR the two towers last night for like the 10.000th time lol laughing out loud I cried its like my favourite part of the two towers!

Frodo:I can't do this sam
Sam: I know its all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here.....but we are. Its like in those great stories Mr.Frodo the ones that really mattered full darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the be happy how could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened. but its only a passing thing, this shadow even darkness must pass, A new day will come, and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those are stories that stay with that mean something even if you were too small to understand why. But I think Mr frodo I do understandI know now folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't they kept going because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: what are we holding onto sam?
Sam: that there is some good in this world mr. frodo and its worth fighting for!

this is a quote from happiness, it is one of hte most haunting and memerable quotes of all time... this quote is between a young boy and his father, the boy has just discovered his dad is a pedophile....

"all the kids at school are calling you a pervert and a molester, what does that mean?"

"billy, it means i made love to your friend"

"what do you mean...'made love'"

"i fondled him, i touched him..."

"what do you mean...touch?

"...i fu**ed him"

"..was....was it good?"

"yes...it was great..."

"would you do it again?" (speaking through tears)

".....yes."

"would you ever fu** me?"

"...no, Billy..... i'd jerk off instead"

this is one of the most heartbreaking dialogues in any movie ive ever seen, everyone should definately rent this movie 'happiness'

The hobo speech in Team America about dicks, pussies and assholes

Loads but I watched A Few Good Men last night again and Jack Nicholson's speech when he's on the stand is amazing. Brilliantly acted.

"You want me on that wall, you need me on that wall!" and of course the legendary, "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"

The Second Coming was a 2 part television programme. stick out tongue

LoneUnknown
Thank-you kindly for saying so MildPossession big grin

Discos
I would have to go with Braveheart, of course.

Close second would be King Theoden from Return of The King before the battle of Pellenor. That speech still gives me tingles.

Third, Independance Day when the "president" gives his speech to vamp up the pilots.

The best movie speeches ever occur in American Beauty with Kevin Spacey's character, Lester Burnham. Pick a speech. They're all hilarious.

You have a point. I forgot American Beauty completely, but that is a phenomenal film and pretty much every line from Spacey is ingenious.
