Does anyone want to teach me some useful phrases in their language ?((obv not english!))


cos I have GP and yerssot helping me with my french, but I wanna learn some other languages too!!

thats way to confusing because the sounds I use and how I would write them are different then in english. I tried teaching Ush but its to confusing.

Well technically it's a little bit more difficult...'cos in American English there is one word to say most of the swear words : F...

The only one I can translate openly is "Nom de Dieu...". It means something close to "For God's sake" (used when someone is really amazed or like this, at the beginning of a longer swear word.)

I think you can never translate exactly this kind of word...

I'm Lithuanian. I love my country and language. But still to know more languages is useful. I'm learning French and German. I'd like to know French, Russian, Spanish and Italian. But it would be very hard to study.

@Kes@ Once I've heard speaking Portogees on TV with no translation. I thought that men speaks in Lithuanian but there was written that he's Portugal's politic. It sounded like Lithuanian but I didn't understand any word!

I'll try & find them... Nonetheless she can use Microsoft Word (the 'add Special characters ' command - I used it sometimes when I was in the US)

Not everybody knows it, but it's very funny to hear foreigners speaking Lithuanian.

Because (not niekaip, it's nes because niekaip doesn't sound in English) they can't say words correctly.

kes is right, the only thing you can blame phoe, is that you have the problem of having the second biggest spoken language in the world (or third, dunno about spanish anymore)

and I think most of us here, like kes said too already (darn, she's on the ball ) most of us just know their own language(s)

It's the most widely used language in the world, is the thing. Spanish may become a big rival but Cantonese (or Manadarin, I forget which one it is) is never going to be an established like English as it is only spoken in one (albeit one very BIG) place.

You should be happy : you don't have to learn other languages. For me it's compulsory to learn at least two foreign languages.
