Who do you think is the best man that played Bond ?

Sean Connery all the way! Nobody can beat the original!

The scottish milkmen!!! SEAN CONNERY. He was Bond but can you belive the author of the bond books (his name has slipped my mind) didnt want him!!! Unbleiable.
Im a guy but i can see the appeal he makes to the girls, and the guys wanted to small quick wit of him. The story lines was the best, the lines was the best and Sean was the best. And when i attempt his voice the girls love it.

The story isnt quite like that. He said that if a women asks for it that he wouldnt hesitate to slap her. Which I agree, just because its a women doesnt mean you have to take carp from her.

George Lazenby has the biggest ears I've seen, Pierce is my favorite though he's kinda old. I sent Raz a couple of PMs for a James Bond thread, hope he considers them when he comes back. Timothy Dalton was good too, to bad he only did two movies, And why did people hated Die Another Day so much ? It's one of my favorites.

And as far as Q he wasnt replaced, John Cleese had been introduced the movie before...ok maybe they shouldnt have change is name to Q but Q is just a designation so.

Yeah, when John Cleese first came in to it his name wasn't Q it was like P or something, and it's lucky they did replace desmond llwellyn (not sure about the spelling) seeing as he died not long after he left the James Bond clan!

yeah, herbie, they got lucky they introduced his assistant in time, just that Desmond was the one and only original Q, got into all the movies (except one) and it's hard to get a replacement for him

Desmond was a hero to the bonds, soem of is lines was the best. he never left the Bond thing, he died in a car crash. He was going to be in the next bond (Die another day) but he died.
John Clesse (kes is right he is a funny man) was brought in for The world is not enough ready for when Desomd did pass away.
John is good but i miss Desmond, i remeber crying when he died.

I'm old enough to know that Sean is the original (even though a stand in ws the first person ever to play Bond on screen), but I think Pierce Brosnan has done an excellent job. Bond has been updated and this newest version is humorous without losing his toughguy edge. Roger Moore's bond was too campy, even for me and I like the spoof 008:The Job Is Not Enough, which asks the question, "Does the guy who fills in for Bond ever get ot work?"

Then there are other two guys who are barely worth mentioning. Timothy Dalton, however, did have the privelege of working with Australian actress, Virginia Hey (you may know her as Zhaan from Farscape) before the blue make-up. Lazenby was the only married Bond, so that's something, I guess. Of course he was also the Bond who cried. Whwat was that all about?

No he was not- TWINE was his last film, period. That is WHY John Cleese was in it, they were handing over. It is simply coincidence that he died just after.

Yeah I agree with most of you that an invisible car is stupid but I didn't care, I love Bond movies and specially Die Another Day. But yeah they have to keep it a bit more believable for Bond 21, that whole scene of Bond being chased by the Icarus and the way he gets out of it was really stupid. And yeah too bad Desmond died but John Cleese is a funny replacement since I laugh everytime I see his face. And not because I'm disrespective or anything but it brings me memories of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. He's the man and I can't think of anyone else to replace the original Q.

The Bond villains I like the best are:
-Baron Samedi and Jaws (The Spy Who Loved Me) I like Baron Samedi because he freaks me out, he's weird and never stops laughing, he reminds me of Linda from the 1st Evil Dead. And I like Jaws but just in The Spy Who Loved Me, he acted like a cartoon character in Moonraker and turned good at the end.

And the ones I hate the most:
-Gustav Graves, Mr. Wint, Mr. Kidd and Renard (Robert Carlyle is a great actor but he's no material for Bond.) Gustav Graves seemed like a bratty kid that Bond was going to punish. And Renard was just a pussy that had the advantage of feling no pain at all. And Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd were just gay ! And not that I discriminate people or anything but gay villains aren't scary, but I can imagine there tortures, dressing you up in cheap clothes and stuff like that.

The only two people I have seen play James Bond were Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan, and I think out of the two I would have to choose Pierce Brosnan, he just has that sexy bond look.

Sean Connery is often deemed the best Bond, i believe this is because he was the first actor to don the role and ultimately formed the basis of what many people deem as the ultimate James Bond,when George Lazenby (indeed even Brosnan is compared to Connerys portrayl of Bond) took over the role he was ultimately compared to Sean Connery's Bond however what if it was the other way around and Lazenby was the first actor to become Bond or indeed Moore,Dalton or Brosnan maybe peoples perceptions of the best Bond may've changed.

Tim Dalton is underrated, he did his job quite well. Lazenby was useless, Moore and Brosnan are 'normal'. Connery would have to be the Bond icon, but i dont think Dalton was too bad, my vote went with the underdog.

and because he made it back to the more serious movies he got bashed for it

i liked roger more connery and pierce...roger moore brought in a bit more humor to bond.... i liked that ...but all three of those i mentioed were tight

I think Roger Moore was the best Bond. I'm not totally sure specificaly why, but I just think overall he was the better of the group.

I have to say Roger Moore. Not only did I grow up with him as Bond, but he is also the star of my favorite Bond movie that was before my time. The Spy Who Loved Me.

Yeah Connory was the original and true Bond.He was born for that role.I honestly dont know what people see in Pierce Brosnan.He cant act,he's just always being Pierce Brosnan all the time in all his movies.I also like Roger Moore because he brought a lot of humor to the role and I grew up on Roger Moore James Bond movies.
