I just wondered as the previous topic was closed without a satisfactory resolution to the pain in the tooth issue...

What did we need to resolve? I can't remember.

They did the root canal and in two weeks I go back to get a post put into the tooth and a crown put on over the top to keep it together...

yep, know the feeling, Dimmy. tonight while posting in the refuge open house, I was chewing on some chocolate covered almonds, and jarred the filling out of my molar. *sigh* so I hafta call the dentist in the morning. and I hope he can fill it and then crown it so the filling doesn't fall out again.

Stopped at the dentist today on an emergency visit. The filling didn't pop out; the whole side of my tooth broke off completely. Now, we're looking at re-drilling out the old filling, replacing it, then crowning it in lotza gold, meaning $$$$.

I feel like an oil rig in the middle of it all. It's got a seal on it right now, so soft foods, it is for a few more days.

I didn't have a big syringe, Supa..and mine didn't even really hurt. Don't worry. I think they make it sound worse than it is.

Well I never had a root canal, Supa....but when I have had cavaties filled, my dentist gave me laughing gas, then stuck the novacaine in. Like double anesthesia. It was no problemo. Might want to ask them about it.

I've had them all; you, too, will survive. They now drown you in novocaine, so you won't feel anything. It's hearing the drill that makes you feel all creepy and crawly. I'm going through the process of having a molar crowned after breaking off one end munching chocolae covered almonds last week. Got a temporary crown on Tuesday; final crown in 2 weeks.
