From the X-Men Encyclopedia, she has the coolest powers. She is part of Weapon X.
Real name: Jeanne-Marie Beaubier (Northstar's sister)
First Appearance: X-Men #120 (1979)
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 140 lbs
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: Black

POWERS:
1. Superhuman Speed
2. Generation of Light
3. Abilty to accelerate the molecules of people and objects causing them to tear themselves apart. (so cool!)

the last power was result of the weapon x programme. and even before, when she was still with alpha flight, her dominant personality asked for her powers to be modified so they would be different from her brother's.

her real name is jeanne-marie, and her other personality's name is aurora. since she was the dominant one that is the codename she took. also because of the bright light she can produce.

she has multiple personality??? wow!!

I love this picture, it's Jeanne Marie and Wil Child, he's remembering when they were together and he looked handome and stuff...
I actually like them as a couple a lot. He really is and was in love with Aurora and she loved him back too... it was him that took off when he turned ugly and she was so heart broken that she went... insane and tried to kill him lol.

why is her hair dark on Weapon X pics?

well actually I think JM's and JP's hair was suppose to have always been dark but they were drawn that way in Alpha Flight to show they had 'shinny' black hair... but then they started really making JP's hair a silverish color while JM for the most part kept the whole black hair look... it's what I think anyway
