FallingBlue

The Force
no, it's final fantasy porn laughing out loud

113
no..final fantasy XXX

BackFire349
Final Fantasy 3 (6 in japan) is the best hands down. It was the only one that was challenging and not to linear.

Out of all the playstation ones, FF9 is the best.

FallingBlue
FF9 is my absolute least favorite

and FF6 is supremely easy

BackFire349
Not if you did everything, plus it's story and characters were the most well developped. FF9 was a great throw back to the old classics, it was almost nastalgic for me since I've been playing the games for so long.

FallingBlue
eh, i just didnt like teh story at all, thought it was laaaame

and dont you think 6 was easy? I eman I whizzed through that soo fast, and I was friggin 7 when I played it

BackFire349
Well, there is no such thing as a hard FF game. But compared to the others it was a bit more challenging. The problem with the other games that came out after it was that there was always one spell or super *limit break* that should you get, would completelly destroy the boss of the game in like one hit. It totally defeated the purpose of having a boss in the game.

I also thought FF3 was just so powerful and innovative for it's time. To have such beautifully developped characters on the SNES was indeed a rarity, only captures later by Chrono Trigger.

FF6 was the masterpiece of the series, I have always thoguht so ever since i first played it back in like 94 when it was released, and still now, i can go back and play through it and get completely engrossed in it's engaging and epic storyline.

FallingBlue
Yah, I still have a very special place in my memory for FF6, it was my absolute fav till FF8 and it is still my very close second, but I still think it was esay, because the abilities teh chars had were so powerful

Chrono Trigger is still one of the best RPGs of alllll time in my opinion

BackFire349
yeah, the only thing that held chrono trigger back was it's short length.

Also, i thought FF8 was the worst FF game i played. It felt very rushed, seemingly trying to capitolize on FF7's success. The game just didn't flow after teh first half.

FallingBlue
I loved it, it was more realistic, which I like (and I know, "Its fantasy, it shouldnt have to be realistic" but I sitll like reality in my fantasy)

BackFire349
I didn't have a problem with the reality aspect of it, i think it was a nice take on the fantasy thing. But it just felt really rushed (it came out very quickly after FF7) and the characters were all so one dimensional. I also didn't like how the villian wasn't introduced untill the end segment of the game.

The best part of FF8 was that awesome card game.

FallingBlue
Triple Triad was amazingly addictive

I really liked the gameplay pretty much, I liked teh character, though I agree they were not in-depth, I wish they would remake it, it has sooo much potential

BackFire349
It was by no means a bad game, just compared to some of the others, it was really shallow and flaky.

I forgot about FFX however, i think 8 is way better then that one. They made too many drastic changes in X

FallingBlue
Yah, they needed to take it slow with all teh changes, not slam them into one game, and didnt you think that one was the easiest? the whole turn-based aspect and the like Wakka beats down air things made it too easy, that and you have your whole party allll the time

BackFire349
Yeah, actually that's the only one i never beat, I got towards the end, but I just got bored with it. I didn't like how there was no world map for you to explore, and I didn't care for the characters.

I can't believe they chose FFX of all the games to make a sequel for, very questionable.

FallingBlue
It's because it was the only one to really be able to make a sequel, they're supposedly making a FF7 sequel though too

the only character I really liked in X was Lulu, she was hot AND cool, double plus

BackFire349
Yeah, she was good.

I don't think they should make sequels....it could ruin the storilines. They should jsut keep them unrelated to eachother. I can't wait for FF12 though, i hope it's good.

FallingBlue
yah, im really hoping 12 is good, it's supposedly futuristic, like in space and shizz

11 looks gay..

BackFire349
I'm sick of the whole MMORPG thing, they are all the same.

I forgot about Final Fantasy Tactics, that was an outstanding game as well.

FallingBlue
omg yah, that game is so fun, I beat it like two years after I bought it though (of course I dindt play it everyday, lol) I jsut bought FFtAdvance and it's just as fun

BackFire349
Yeah, it's kinda wierd though (FFT advance). It's strange how you put towns where you want and stuff.... plus the menu's are kinda wierd.

FallingBlue
yah, that's weird, it reminds me of Legend of Mana, another awesome Square game

BackFire349
Yeah, Squre makes so many damn great RPG's

N.Tonks
FF8 is my favorite

FallingBlue
yah, i would say taht Square is the RPG king, except for Kingdom Hearts...

BackFire349
Kingdom Hearts was pretty decent, but definately desapointing for a Square effort.

FallingBlue
yah, i was very dissapointed with that game, but KH2 looks excellent

FFX was by far the most entertaining and impressive gameplay of the series. The graphics were near perfect, and the story was great.

I think FFX is in a league of its own. The story wasnt as fast paced and gripping as some of the others. It took a little while to unravel into somthing epic, and astounding that final fantasy is known for. Howevr it did pull this off. As time persisted in the game great substance was revealed to the story. It had just enough of twists to keep the originality alive. After all was said and done and the game was beat it turend out to be favorite story of the series, it just took a little while to grip me.

The gameplay was 5 steps ahead of previous FF games. It gave the series a shot in the arm of originality and risk taking. It took character development to new levels. This wasnt limited to just your characters, it reached to your summon characters and weapon development and armor. This was never seen in any other role playing game on home consoles before. The game also held a bag full of side quests. great game i was blown away. I would have to say the next best games in the series was 3 and 7

el_barto
final fantasy 7 and 8 are the best ones i played 7 had the best story line ever and 8 was pretty cool but that hole robot thing after u fight rajin and fujin the second time and i played chrono triger but i had no memory card so i died it was great to

dave123
FF7, easy

graphics may suck, but its the best for everything else

LilMimister006
nonono- the best final fantasy games are 3(or 6..same game), 9, and 10. 7 was alrite, but 8 was just blauh. (this is coming from a person (me) whose played ALL the ff games (starting from number 1)

dave123
aint completed any of the 1's before 7 sad

CandyKoRn
hmm.. 3rd one was good...

LilMimister006
u should play the ones before 7, they're the original all magic/medievally basically...i loved 3..i would say 3 would beat all by the storyline alone in my opinion..it was just wonderful..the first 6 are basically the classic original ones, 9 tried to bring it back, it succeded in some ways but failed in others, but its still one of my favorites big grin

CandyKoRn
8-9 sucked... sorry.. they just did.. bluuugh

dave123
i started 2 play them, but never got round to finishing them sad
