Arrg so i just got Norton AntiVirus 2004(i updated from '02) and i ran a system scan of my whole c
drive. And what pops up a delightful message from Norton that tells me i have the trojan horse virus and it can't be repaired....oh fun!
and worst of it is that i don't even know what this virus does exactly, and norton doesn't have any info available.
Does someone know exactly what this virus does, and/or how to get rid/fix it???

Arg, I got a virus back in summer of 2002. Pissed me off sooooo bad! I forget what it was called since I haven't had to deal with it in a f***ing long time. Thank the lord.

i got the trojan that starts opening IE and surfing to ads and other *cough* inappropriate sites...i didn't realize it til i got a firewall and my newest antivirus software...it was easy to get rid of, i just got mad that i was that vulnerable...
Captain REX
Haha, I just make sure my internet options says that it starts at " auto:blank "
Captain REX
Apparently you didn't have any idea what that meant...
If you don't want your IE opening somewhere it is not supposed to, I go to my Internet Options and put auto:blank in the address opening location.

to remove a trojan, download the actual trojan itself, run the program, enter your IP (127.0.01) and look for the command 'remove WHATEVER ITS CALLED'
this should remove the virus, and if you look through the program, it shows what they could hav ebeen doing to your PC
Ushgarak
Yes, as I think some replies indicated, a trojan is a TYPE of virus, not a virus name in of itself.

an example of a trojan is SubSe7en, and something Devil
