what is the best movie that was made that was a book first

lord of the rings for sure its a great book and awsome movie sorry I couldn't think of better book to movies

The Green Mile

lotr was very good, but i think they changed it up a little to much from the book, i said other, the movie "pay it forward" was very good

I voted other. And my other is Wuthering heights. A book by Emily Bront (Sp) turned into a great movie with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche.

Green Mile with out a doubt! The film was sucky compared to a book...

well lotr is awesome as we all know but i loved fear and loathing in las veags too
