Why was the Oracle changed? What choice did she make?
Just want to know, is it that the film makers couldn't deal with the original actress or they replaced her according to the story?

Gloria Foster died during the filming of Reloaded. She was replaced by Mary Alice. The change is explained in "Enter the Matrix" video game. The story goes that she gave up her shell so Sati could be saved from deletion. The choice she made was to continue to help Neo.
