I personally didn't see it but my friend did, he said that the city 01 was a Mandelbrot fractal (infinitely complex geometric shape) can anybody confirm or deny this?

the entire beginning, from the explosion, to the showing of 01 in the beginning, are fractals.

It was fractals, yes. But it wasn't a mandelbrot fractal.
Fractals are geometric shapes, but they reside in fractal dimensions if you like.

yeah, i knew they were fractals, which was part of the reason i love the beginning of Revolutions so much...but i have no idea what the difference between mandelbrot and regular fractals are...

Actually... I think the Rev beginning fractal may be a close-up of one part of this, before you find the original shape again...
