What do you mean? Alot of things have happened to his face. If you are getting at the fact that it is burned, this is not limited to his face. His entire body is covered in burns as he was burned alive.

It had nothing to do with a school........Freddy's face (and entire body) is covered in burns because he was burned alive inside of his boiler room by an angry mob of townspeople who were upset that Freddy was released from jail.
