Korri
what qualities to you see in a freind?

burlyman
korri happy

...sense of humor big grin

Fire
well this is different for everyone
but usualy

respect, caring, understanding, social, intelligent, common interests, trust

those are the most important

burlyman
yeah, that sounds about right happy

respect - understand other peoples point of view!! *naming no names (you wouldnt know him anyway)* smile

leaf_eater
that's a hard one. i guess one should still look for a sence of humor, and respect, and kindness, etc. but i think we should look more for someone with similar interests. or someone who you can talk to easily.

el_barto
me!!

drunk_nazgul
Common likes or dislikes, also some differences.
I usually have a prominent past with someone before they are one of my best friends.
Sense of humor... common religion...
Trustworthiness, kindness, morality, willing to give his/her life for me... roll eyes (sarcastic)

LindsIsTightK
I think the biggest thing I look for in friendship is understanding. I just need to have that common ground with whoever it is that I'm friends with.

Corran
sad I don't know because I have no friends.

yerssot
oooow! *hugs corran*
I'll be your friend ... just gimme 50 quids an hour wink

grymlock
friends?? i though money is everything... money can buy anything in this world.. namely friends... confused

cheers!!

Discos
I learned this a long time ago, but a friend has nearly every quality as you have, if they didn't then you wouldn't hang around with them.

For instance a person who goes out on weekends and drinks in the pubs compared to a person who goes to church on saturday nights and plays bingo etc

yerssot
actually I got a few friends who are totally different from me stick out tongue

Corran
You mean they are not computer programs?

yerssot
oh no, they are, see I know this great zip file who's always chilling with a rar file and you know how I dislike those!

Corran
So they are files rather than programs, isn't that frowned upon by the operating system?

yerssot
well, there are a lot of programs to meet and some kinda scare me sad

Corran
Have you met Excel yet? Always strikes me as too serious.

yerssot
well, I met his sons a couple of times, weird nerdy files you know! they hang around with the calculater a lot... I mostly don't bother them, I aim my arrows at some .jpgs wink

Corran
I know what you mean, some of them .jpgs are a little saucy.

yerssot
they're gif-dead-gorgeous!
especially this one that's named Alima01.jpg ... I mean wow! a stupid program like me would never get a shot with her sad

Corran
I'll bet everyone thinks that and no-one ever hits on it, you never know, what's the worst that could happen, you could get your permissions to her directory denied?

yerssot
oh she can /root me anytime!
but if I speak to her, she'll probably go to another directory or even HD! sad

Corran
Just make mulitple copies, eventually you might get lucky.

yerssot
you mean playing around with my extension and her root?

Corran
Yes, but be careful because some versions of windows are quite bad at going down all the time.

Fire
LOL

yerssot
especially that netnanny-stuff, she always pushes me to another directory when I'm getting close with a nice .jpg!

Corran
Be careful you don't get burned climbing her firewall.

yerssot
don't worry, I always scan her out first

Corran
Good, before you open her up ensure you do a virus check too.

yerssot
I always make sure I'm protected
though an extra up-date wouldn't hurt

Corran
Good you wouldn't want to have your own x-drive updated with a rogue process.

yerssot
no, she can up-date me anytime!
perhaps I'll ask her out on a nice server with little pics running by and all... eating some bytes

Fire
hehe

Corran
cool, are you thinking of spawning a few processes of your own with her?

yerssot
I'm thinking of hacking my own personal webspace with her

Gundark
I resent this talk. I would never treat a hard drive like that. Or a floppy for that matter. Some of them have rich text you know, despite their floppiness.

Corran
Are you going to interface her with your serial cable or are you going to use your RAM?

yerssot
see, gundark is one of those .jpgs I'm afraid to talk to ... she's too ... good ... :s

oh, after some quarentaine with her, I was thinking of screening and some nice ejecting

Corran
Gundy is nice and she does like her 5 inch floppies.

yerssot
FIVE inche huh? wow! perhaps I should try and root her

Corran
I would think she does quite a lot of screening though.

Gundark
I always have my friend Norton scan for incoming viruses.

yerssot
guess I'll have to use another port then

Corran
Not sure she would understand you she doesn't know Java or HTML, the only language she understands is the language of lurve,

yerssot
I'll C+ her then?

Corran
Just not too many if clauses, you know how bad they are with decisions.

yerssot
I go with the AND, always more possibilities

Corran
You should learn to multi-task too, keep your options open.

yerssot
I always check my cpu to make sure I'm not in the red with anyone

Corran
My task manager is struggling to cope with my current number of processes, I think I need to delete some.

Gundark
I hid my toolbar. Now I can't find it.....*sob*

mechmoggy
I have no idea what you are all talking about. confused

But to me, a friend is someone who knows all the crappy stuff about you but still wants to be your friend. big grin

SaTsuJiN
A friend is there to bear with you the hell, or heaven, that is life. Maybe even your own personal hero of sorts. They definately dont say stuff behind your back, or steal your lover lol.. those are what I'd refer to as 'Hi and goodbye friends'. A real friend lasts for a very long time, you can tell them anything and they wouldnt think twice of you.

Darth Bandon
They give me money. big grin

crazy_c
A good friend is true friend if the give you pie

yerssot
my toolbar is rather large, care to share gundark?

Corran
Gundy do you want to play hide the toolbar?

silver_tears
laughing out loud omg you two crack me up laughing out loud

Friend44
(What makes a good friend?)

I do not know, I have never eaten one. One would guess not too spicey. This can cause heartburns and gases.

el_barto
a guy u can kick in the nuts and he doesn't care

Corran
sad Yerss, Silver Tears is laughing at us.

silver_tears
laughing out loud

I think that a willingness to be your friend after they know everything about you makes a good friend big grin

<<Solo>>
A SINCRE OF HUMUR AND TRUSTR YESA TRUST IS A GOD THINK.

§pearhead
Simply being friendly and loyal, that's all happy

Jury Copeland
TRUST.. which stands for:

T: Trustworthy
R: Respetful
U: Understanding
S: Smart/Intelligent, and
T: Truthful
