When the Agents are questioning Neo in the first movie the scene opens viewed from above. The multiple screens neo appears on are those on the Architect`s wall. They have the same bendy effect when they zoom in as they did in Reloaded when thet zoomed out of the space scene.

The ARchitect was not WATCHING the progres of the anomaly, since Neo hadn't assimilated it yet. He was probably just having A look at the latest to be interrogated by A group of agents.
