Cant really blame him for Cyclopse, in X1 you see a certain leadership and coolness in there but he doesnt have much screen time. Plus he's wearing glasses all the time, which makes it difficult to express emotion. Thats why the scene in X2 where he's crying looks like crap

Maybe he was wearing is glasses and something punched a whole tru the glasses and at the same time his eye.
Do you see the picture. The quartz prevented the blast from destroying what ever it was that took out his eye.

Cyclops looke like a leader at first glance. Marsden doesn't fit the bill.

Marsden looks like he's maybe 21 and Yansen definitely looks like 31, 32, should have gotten someone looking more his age or vice versa.

They didn't give Cyclops the natural leadership ability that he has in the Comics. He's great, someone you'd follow blindly.

They scripted his role like a frigin 12 year old in X1.
Even Magneto slapped him down for wanting a lightning bolt in the Statue of liberty.

He does not make sound leadership decisions as he does in the comic. I would not follow him into battle. And the whole "Stay away from my girl" How junior high school is that?
Is waaaay above kiddie games.
The scripting sucks and Marsden plays it like a kid. D'you think Wolverine would follow him after being in real wars with real leaders?

Wolverine follows no one. Hes his own man who doesn't give a crap but fights for his friends and his beliefs when he has to. He fights the good fight.
