which books should be made into movies, who would star in it, and who should be the director?

very good question indeed....Hmm well I am into history books and always wanted a epic about alexander the great...which I hear theres two in the works(yay!!)
maybe a modren version of Animal Farm by George Orwell which animal animations like that was in babe...I think that could be chilling...

wow, what a coincidence! we just finished reading animal farm in lit! yes, a new version would do. did you hear that colin farrell is playing alexander the great? i was hoping that leo dicaprio or someone else would play him.

leo was scripted for the other version which would come out a year later than the one with colin farrell.(is he still?) I dont care for colin ferrel in the part but he may surprise especially since its got a 130million dollar budget and oliver stone directing(they say he's been planning this for 8years!) so Ill keep my fingers crossed!

oliver stone is directing the 'Alexander the great movie'due next year. Angelina Jolie is suppose to play his mother.

well as the mother of Alexander, Olympias,She has universally been condemned as an evil, scheming, murderous witch. The only good words ever written about her are that she was beautiful and she loved her son. so maybe Angelina Jolie might not be to bad I really would have rather seen someone else though...

i learned alot about alex last year in hist, don't know much of the mom.

no I didnt see any thing about a movie adaption for ransome the only other thing Ive seen is Strangers in Our House. Television movie adapted from Summer of Fear. NBC, 1978. thats about it...sorry

A book that was very successful from page to screen was Lord of the Rings. While it didn't adhere to the book as much as I would have liked, they were awesome beyond compare

I can't wait to see how Oliver Stone will make the battle scenes againt the Persian Empire.

It will be an opportunity to see battle elephants - now rea elephants and not Mumakils from ROTK; the power of Hoplite infantry and Macedonian light cavalry against the enormous Persian army with several different races.

Dario had an enormous army wich reach 200.000 men in several battles agaisnt the Macedonian and allies wich were about 20.000 men army.






My favorite movie would be Silmarillion/Peter Jackson or Ubik- Phillip K.Dick/Ridley Scott, or Futurologic Congress - Stanislaw Lem/Ridley Scott.

I'd like to see a current version of Moby Dick too.

to direct - Bryan Singer, i love his work, usual suspects and the apt pupil are brill! i also like waht he did with x-men, made it seem real and made you relate to the characters so i'd like to see him do that with another fantasy film, but i don't think children's fils are his sort of thing....

Errrrr......it's difficult to explain. It's a lot like Lord of the Rings. You should just read them, although there's over 100 books by over 30 authors. It's worth it, though

Well, the first book written was Dragons of Autumn Twilight, and it sort of sets off the Saga, it's followed by Dragons of Winter Night and Dragons of Spring Dawning which then branches off to sever different other trilogies and series, it's quite spectacular. Anyway, i'll just copy down the back of Dragons of Autumn Twilight:
