Ushgarak
Post your character descriptions for the second game here, preferably something that corresponds to your template.

Just a couple of points- this can be more or less what you like, EXCEPT for these points I'd like you to stick to:

The Light Side players have had very, very little experience with the Dark Side before- and to them, the Sith are ancient history never to be seen again.

The Dark Side players have stayed QUIET since they turned. They may have been making secret plans, but they have not yet unleashed destruction on the Universe. All of you have remained hidden until now- because now is your time...

BTW, if there are things you want to keep hidden from the other side here, that's fine. Post as much or as little as you like; this is all just for reference.

Ushgarak
Bumping...

Post your profiles here after we start play, as and when you think of them.

Ushgarak
This is the first of my profiles I am creating for those charatcers you meet in the game. This thread can be used for easy reference.

Trorn- controlled by Ushgarak

Trorn is a long-standing Jedi Disciple from the planet Talorthane. His people have exceptionally quicky mental processes for what other people consider tedious tasks- in short, they make great clerks, administrators, librarians etc.

Trorn is one of the Council's representatives. he will often be the person who asks you to come before the Council if they have sent for you, and will guide you there when you do.

Trorn is not the most social of people. He tends to get caught up in his various administrative tasks. He also comes across as smug and arrogant, but somehow likeable as well.

As far as you know, he has never left the Temple since his training ended. In template terms he is an Acolyte.

ratcat
Rattrius Cree (RC to his fellow knights) Jedi Knight - Adventurer

RC was a typical Jedi Padawan. Identified on his home planet of Correlia at the age of 3, he began his training at the age of 4. Upon completion of his training and immediately upon bestowment of his Jedi Knight title, RC shocked many by leaving the order to return to Correlia to serve in CorSec, alongside his paternal uncle Jedi Master Nejaa Horn. 10 years later, on his 28th Birthday and at the urging of Nejaa, RC resigned his CorSec commission to return to the Jedi Order. To this day he has not seen Nejaa again.

Being a member of the Horn family line has left RC with a singular Force disability, he is Telekinetically blind. However, with this lacking comes an interesting enhancement of another ability.

RC is able to absorb large amounts of heat energy, be that from a blaster, a flame or an explosion and then harness that power in a massive Force skill such as projection. The downside of this is that RC is left completely drained and requires some time afterwards to recover. Using this ability can leave RC totally incapacitated. Also, this ability does require RC to be aware of the energy burst before he can absorb it; he is as vulnerable to a blaster bolt in the back as any man.

RC is skilled in many weapons, including the Lightsaber carried by Jedi Knights. He is also highly skilled in the use of most weapons, thanks to his extensive training with CorSec. He is a fair pilot and is currently rated to combat readiness status on all Republic fighters and shuttles.

Ushgarak
Krisha, Fallen Jedi- controlled by Ushgarak

Like most Dark Jedi, Krisha does not talk of her past, though clearly she has not had a happy life. She met with Kuylen sometime last year; she has not been an easy pupil, being remarkably impatient even for a Dark Sider. Still, Kuylen seems to have been successful in maiing her obedient.

Krisha's force skills are not inconsiderable; her fighthing style is competent but unpracticed and undisciplined. Her red sabre (NOTE- allowing any sabre colours until we know for sure otherwise) is a standard model, though the hilt is full of extra little doodads, hooks, various switches, magnetic clamps... she likes her extras.

Krisha has a true genius- sabotage. There is nothing she cannot seem to rig for detonation; she has boasted that with enough time she could destroy a planet. You wouldn't like to bet against it.

The Dark Side players have only met Krisha once or twice, as Kuylen is always sending her out on missions. Now things are coming together, yuo can expect to seemuch more of her.

In the end, Krisha is an evil, twisted, manipulative woman and none of you would trust her with anything. But she is useful.

She looks remarkably like Trinity from the Matrix, but without the shades.

Template-wise, she is a Fallen, with less combat ability and amazing sabotage skills.

Dim
Dim, Revenant

Rumored to be from a Iridonian Zabrak family of bounty hunters there is not much known about her. No can be sure of her past. Even her age and appearance are kept secret with the help of a dark jeweled veil and headdress she wears over her robes.

queeq
Quam Ak-toh

Was born on a smuggler's transport where he was raised the first 6 six of his life, until the ship that carried him crashed on Garban. The rest of his youth he spent with the Jenet tribe until a Jedi landed there and noticed the his Force capabilities. After being initiated to the Force, he was deemed too old. Ever since he walks the Dark Path... out to have his revenge.

Edna_witch
(Please excuse the length! It just kind of flowed!)

Born as the illegitimate child of a promiscuous slave in the Meridian sector, Edna quickly began to feel alone and unloved by her harsh mother.

At a very early age, her insatiable curiosity and apparent awareness of her surroundings caught the eye of Yarric Dorsa, the Anzanti Mercenary who owned her and her mother. He had apparently seen talents that Edna herself was not aware she had.

She quickly became the most useful tool at his disposal. Her spy skills togther with her irresistable child-like chram made her ideal for covert operations. But Edna was intelligent and had soon realised that she was capable of so much more and that if she wanted, she could easily destroy Yarric and all that he had worked for.

When she reached the age of 14 and felt she had gained all that she could from the mercenary, she decided it was time for her to go it alone and break her way out of this life that was holding her back. But even with her abilities she could not get off planet without being detected. Yarric had been expecting her betrayal for years. Everything she tried, he seemed to have some kind of barrier to stop her escaping. He knew her too well.

She finally gave up through exhaustion but the rage was building up inside of her. Yarric found her curled up in a ball inside a ventilation shaft, too dark for him to see the anger on her face. He reached out a hand to her, and Edna finally lost her self control. She released the rage inside of her, closing her eyes and basking in the force that flowed through her. She finally reopened them to see the destruction she had caused. The entire shaft had caved in around her. She crawled and dug her way out and was strangely not surprised to see Yarric dead on the floor, his outstretched arm decapitated. She had already known it, somehow. The mixed feelings of shock and pure satisfaction confused and overwhelmed her. She left and never returned.

She wondered the galaxy alone for the next to years, not understanding much of what was hapening around her and being more interested in her own abilities. She explored what she could achieve but never touching on that power she had discovered. Not until she met Kuylen.

He seemed to be there everywhere she went, watching her. She couldn't hide from him in her usual ways. He would always find her. He seemed curious like most other people were about her but in a different way. That scared her. He finally took her under his wing and encouraged her skills in the force. He showed her things she could never have imagined.

Now at the age of 20, Edna is strong in the force but still relatively untrained. Most ofher talents being rather experimental. She is incredibly fast and nimble and very small. Her youthful looks are a strong asset and in many eyes she still appears nothing more than an innocent child. Her lack of strength is her weakness but she more than compensates for this with her quick thinking and reflexes and small agile body. She is young with incredible potential.

She may appear little more than an untrained teen runaway, but Kuylen sees something in her. Could he be mistaken?

Ushgarak
Argentis, Jedi Knight- controlled by Ushgarak

Argentis is a young and easy going Knight, who achieved Knight status last year a little while after an extended period as a Padawan out in the Galaxy.

Like many young Knights, he is worryingly keen to make a difference, but as yet no official assignments have been found for him.

Argentis has a concentration problem; he was not the bnest pupil ever but he has become a very competent Knight.

Argentis is noit a formiadbale force user, and while he is a competent sabre fighter he is not the best. However, no-one can deny the good phsycial shape he is in. And Argentis is one of the most athletic people you have ever met.

He spends much of his time in various Temple Gyms and training areasl he seems to be able to do near impossible things with his body.

Argentis uses a standard blue sabre, without any fancy additions.

Template: One that I did not include fior players, called the Athlete. Less good at Force and Swordplay but really very nippy and acrobatic indeed.

Edna_witch
Q1 - Tradition
Q2 - Anger

queeq
Q1= combo of strength and tradition
Q2= hubris (of course big grin )

Ushgarak
How did I guess...?

Edna_witch
Are you going to do Krisha?

Ushgarak
Krisha is strength, with some anger and some hubris.

Ushgarak
So I can get a slightly better handle on your characters, and for a bit of amusement, would the Dark Side players of the second game mind answering these two questions? Entirely optional, of course.

Question 1- Why do you stay with Kuylen?

a. Strength. Kuylen is strong. The strongest rules. Once I am stronger I will take his place.

b. Survival. Kuylen helps me survive. To not follow him would endanger myself. Once he is not useful to me I will not follow him.

c. Tradition. Kuylen is the Master. I am the apprentice. He took me in and teaches me. That is the way of things.

d. Other (please specify)

Question 2- Fear was Darth Maul's ally, the emotion he liked above all other. Palpatine seemed to like anger. Which Dark Side emotion best describes your character- what is the main source of your power?

1. Fear. Fear attracts all. Fear is the key to survival, from my need to survive I draw in my power. And I WILL survive, and no-one will stop me. And I feel the fear in others, and it is good...

2. Anger. How dare things ever go wrong? It makes you mad to think of all the bad things that happen to people that do not deserve it. Sometimes, you feel so mad that you can just reach out with your mind and knock things over...

3. Hatred. Everyone conspires against you. The list of people that have done you wrong is endless. The Galaxy seems to let people get away with it- but you won't. You feel nothing but contempt and hatred for anything that is not useful for you now, and your hatred fuels you with power you had not dreamed of before...

4. Hubris (or Arrogance). You are the best! Is it not patently clear? How dare anyone stand against you! It may take time, but you will prove that you are the best and that you are superior to everything that the Galaxy has ever known... and your cast-iron belief in your own brilliance is your easy route to power...

Ushgarak
Hey! Dim! We want to know you! Pleeeeeeeaaaassssse!

Ushgarak
DIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????

Ushgarak
Chion, Brutish Dark Sider- controlled by Ushgarak

Chion is certainly an impressive being- not at all human. He is seven feet tall, and is albino white, with a slight blue tinge. There is a knot of blue veins at the back of his skull that radiate out and get thinner so that they just reach the top of his
head and his cheeks. He has no discernable iris, just very dark blue eyes. Light doesn't seem to bother him despite the albino connection.

He wears a sleeveless studded leather jerkin, which allow his white and horribly muscled arms to flex menacingly. He has simple loose fitting black trousers with primitive boots.

Chion's lightsabre is his most interesting feature- it is not of standard design. It is very large, almost half again as long as a normal sabre. The handle has two large speherical grips for his huge ahnds, coated to give him better grip. This makes for a clumsy but devastating weapon. Chion is no fool with this blade, and while inelegant he is a skilled fighter.

Chion never talks. In Star Wars terms, this makes him the most popular charatcer in the story.

No-one knows of a time when Kuylen did not have Chion with him. Chion was certainly his companion before any of the Dark Siders met him.

Chion is always used as muscle, which he is very good at. He seems to have no heart or morals. No-one has yet worked out whether he is even stupider than he looks, or far more intelligent than anyone gives him credit for...

Template: Very specialised Dark Side Template called the Brute.

Ushgarak
Kuylen, Dark Side leader- played by Ushgarak

Kuylen comes from the constellation of Tasker's Crown, an area of space renowned for their tradtional ways and for producing superb warriors. As a warrior of his people, his fair hair is braided down the sides of his head. He is tall, though not particularly bulky. He has a beard, not unlike Blackadders, for anyone in the know of that show- well measured and trimmed.

Kuylen wears a Pelisse, a jacket worn like a cloak with an arm through one sleeve (very much like a Napolenonic-era French officer). He always removes it before a fight. He wears a dark blue jacket and trousers, and black cavalry boots. He looks very much like a military commander. He sometimes wears his old Jedi robes.

His purple lightsabre is the essence of simplicity, a black hilt with an on/off button, a belt hook and nothing else. Kuylen has no need for a flashy sabre. In combat he is the most dangerous man any of you have ever met. His sabre skills are devastating- he uses a series of disguised feints and rapid attacks to quickly undo any opponent. Kuylen is not untalented in the Force, either, though he lacks the patience to be a Master of it.

Kuylen was once a Jedi. His love of military history meant that his main job was working in the Jedi Archives, where he achieved a position of some importance. But a Knight of his calibre was too good to waste, and he was often sent on dangerous missions to outlying parts of the Republic. He has trained two Padawans in his time, and was a sure bet by many to become a Jedi Master.

Two years ago Kuylen disappeared while on a Jedi mission to Hutt space, the nature of which is unknown. He was pronounced missing, presumded dead, by the Council shortly afterwards following a brief investigation. As far as the Council is concerned, Kuylen is a much-missed Jedi who fell trying to fulfill his duty.

The truth is very different, but even Kuylen's followers do not know his full story.

phinney6
PHINNEYES SIXEAS

Was born to a rich resident of Naboo, was discovered as a jedi at 4 years old, trained under master Ruyas. Was an acomplished pilot, but a better swordsman, Has just reached Knight Hood, Is very Dedicated and Very Happy.

Ushgarak
Here is Yerssot's character:

"Yerssot is a young lad, desperate to make his way from Knight to Master, he's big wish is to be on the Council. He isn't full of hate, he is calm, but when he enters a fight there is a big risk that he enters the Dark Side, though he never fought a Sith. He was trained by a mysteries Jedi, who lived on Hoth, there he learned everything. Yerssot isn't easily scared but he can make some strange decisions.
Born on Naboo, he was happy, but on a trip the ship crashed on Hoth, his parents died, holding him in their arms. The mystical Jedi raised him, but a path to the Dark Side was perhaps laid before him."

Ushgarak
Just bumping this thread back up to the top for the beneift of Dim.

I don't know why but it has become scrambled. The actual questionaire now appears to be in the middle, but I am sure you get the gist.

FireMaster
he was born on mon calamari,But is a normal human, where his parents worked for a corporation that makes star cruisers.
he was detected by the council when his parents died. there for he has no recollection of them what so ever. Which only makes the band with his master stronger, which was ki-adi mundi.
now having achieved the rank of jedi master he has out ranked his master for which he still has a lot of respect

Morpheus is a humanoid of about 45 years old with long black hair about 6.5 feet tall and about 200 lbs.

he believes in the ideals of the force and is ready to serve for what ever purpose the council needs him.

he will normaly always follow the code very strictly except when the life of a friend is in danger.

he will always try to avoid combat and if it is really necessairy he'll try to end it fast and clean

(hope you guys don't take it offensif I want to be a master but those templats seem the best for my character (I know cause I've played a lot of RPG's IRL, it's important to take a character you know fits you)

Ushgarak
What with all the frantic posting lately it is, of course, difficult for some people to keep up with the plot. I'll use this thread to lessen that problem. While it is not essential to know every detail of what the others players are doing, if you miss too much you may miss an important develoment.

Here I will summarise the various mysteries you have been presented with, and the answers to them if you have discovered them.

1. What did Gundark's dream mean?

I may re-print this for people's benefit later, but right now that's up to people to guess.

2. Pirates at Damagran- why so many, and why are they attacking such a well-defended area?

A good question. Both RC and Firemaster have discovered that the pirates are able to fight because they are being paid VAST amounts to keep on doing so, in the form of an apparenlty endless gold supply.

3. Who is paying the pirates?

RC and Firemaster have discovered a name, 'Kuylen'. He is the friend of Pelloran (the head of the pirates), who is paying them to attack Damagran.

4. Why is this 'Kuylen' paying the pirates? What is he achieving?

You have no idea. Of course, the pirate campaign may cause Damagran to leave the Republic, which would be a disaster.

5. Where is this 'Kuylen'? I want a word with him!

He is upstairs, and it is not easy to get there. Gundark is trying now.

6. What is all that nonsense on Damagran about?

You could have gone to Damagran instead of Jaglon Beta, but didn't, so I ran the Jaglon plot instead, and then gave the Damagran plot to Yerssot. Basically, the bad guys (including Dim, queeq and Edna) are running around causing a lot of bad stuff to happen. Yerssot ran into some of this on Damagran.

7. So, do the assassins on Damagran have anything to do with the pirates?

No. Basically, like any decent bad guys, the Dark Jedi are making use of whatever forces they can find- the pirates on Jaglon Beta, and the anti-Republicans on Damagrab, Gives you plenty of people to fight!

8. So, the Dark Jedi lead a load of pirates and anti-Republicans, and are trying to screw up somewhere so it becomes independant. Hardly galactic domination, is it?

Well, they have to start somewhere... but no, obviously there is something more to the Dark Jedi than mere political agitation. That is part of your job to find out.

And oddly, Yerssot is still the only player who actually knows there are any Dark Jedi about... yet!

Ushgarak
As I had just summarsied things for thr good guys, it occurred to me it would be a good idea to summarise things for you guys as well. In fact, all delays and absences considered, I will not be surprised if all of you have lost your handle on what you guys are up to...

This will also be handy for helping Dim and Edna re-enter the game when they can.

So, in easy stages:

1. Led by Kuylen, you people are on a path to Galactic domination. This is the first major move in your plan.

2. You people are in charge, effectively, of the pirates. You are able to supply them vast amounts of gold in order to effectively bribe them into attacking Damagran and its forces. You and the pirates have taken over Jaglon Beta, and are running things from there.

3. Although you are not there right now, you people are also allied with the anti-Republic forces on Damagran, led by a man named Faylar.

4. Kuylen and Faylar are working together to ensure that Damagran leaves the Republic. All your recent work has been to stop the Republic doing anything about it- hence, destroying that battleship at the start of the gane, and thr assassination mission that Krisha and Chion are on.

5. HOWEVER... there is of course more to your plan than that. Faylar is just a jumped-up little Hitler. Kuylen and you people have FAR bigger plans,. but you need Faylar's help, which is why syou are doing this.

In order to keep some suspense, I have not told you what your ultimate plan is, even though your characters do actually know it. But it is a plan that will bring you MUCH power.

6. And now those bloody Jedi have found you! But your plan is near completion. All you have to do is fend off the Jedi long enough to stop them ruining it all. You just need one more gold shipment to arrive, and then you are ready! Kill the Jedi, or keep them away until then! Simple!

And that is what is going on...

Brith
Could you go for Jealousy - the hybrid of Fear and Hubris?

With Jealousy the Jedi couldn't bear the thought that someone might be better, but this is not from a feeling that you are the best. Instead this Jedi is driven by feelings of insecurity; that other people could be more successful, more powerful or just having a better life than him / her / it. By destroying or enslaving others the Jedi can subdue these feelings... for a time.

Ushgarak
So noted. A fine alternative for anyone to chose... I beleive Dim hasn't answered this one yet... had I made that clear?

yerssot
ok, if nobody minds, this thread will now become a thread were the light-side players can talk... hmmm, nobody rejecting big grin

ok, it's pretty obvious that we are near eachother, and we need a ship so we can exit this planet. I know FM has one, but I couldn't find it in the hangar sad

Phinney, were on the planet are you exactly???

I can't sense others because I'm only a Jedi Knight, so others will have to do the trick...

yerssot
ok, little thing in response to Ush reply on the ls-thread.
The purpose is not to cheat, it's to ask stuff...
like the thing I asked phinney

Ushgarak
Some would consider that cheating, yerss.

yerssot
hey, I know where everyone in the game is, and the others know this also...
but this was all ment as info

Ushgarak
I have been talking with yerssot about the plot of the second game, which was interesting. To be fair, I will repeat here some of the things I talked to him about.

If you are interested in following the overall plot, you should read this. If you just want to react to things as they happen, you need not bother.

-
Here are the things you should consider:

1. There are THREE sides, not two as it looked at first. Someone lured the Light Side Jedi into a trap, and betrayed the Dark Side Jedi. They waited until both sides started fighting, and tried to kill all of you. Luckily they underestimated your powers- still, at the time of writing you aren't out of it yet.

2. This trap is too complex for mere pirates to organise. They are working for someone else- someone who could out-bid the Dark Jedi, who were paying the pirates a lot.

3. There must be quite a prize at stake for someone to try such a daring plan. Part of the theme of this story is the start of the break-up of the Republic (as AOTC will do in more detail, of course). The Damagran Confederacy consists of 14 worlds; small, but perhaos enough to start a roll-over if it leaves. And if it leaves, SOMEONE has to lead it. 14 worlds is enough to tempt many people.

4. The Dark Jedi are helping both the pirates AND the seperatists on Damagran who want to leave the Republic (the Dark Side players know all this, of course. All the Light Side guys have seen them with the pirates, and yerssot saw them with the seperatists). The pirates are what are causing Damagran to want to seperate, so by helping these two factions the Dark Jedi are ensuring that Damagran DOES leave the Republic.

But what is in it for the Dark Jedi? They will gain nothing from Damagran leaving. They are bending over backwards to help someone ELSE take power. There must be something in ti for them that the good guys haven't found yet. Perhaps an exchange of favours?

5. So, whoever the Dark Jedi were working with has decided that he no longer wants to keep his part of the bargain. Damagran is well on its way to leaving, now. His plan, if it had worked, would have wiped out the Dark Jedi who he no longer wanted to work with, and also killed the Light Side Jedi before they could mess up his plans to own Damagran.

By the time more Light Side Jedi are sent, it would be too late- Damagran would have left and the Jedi would have no jursidiction. Of course, this plan failed and you guys are still alive...

In conclusion: Someone is triyng to take over Damagran. Remember, the good guys were sent to try and stop Damagran leaving; this pirate business is something they got sucked into. So this person must be stopped. The Dark Side, in turn, are also interested in stopping this person because he betrayed them.

And meanwhile, the Dark Side players have their own plan to follow, a much darker plot indeed...

Ushgarak
At yerssot's request, I am listing here the names of some of the important people in the game, that you have met:

Kuylen: Leader of the Dark Side
Krisha, Chion: Dark Side Jedi
Pelloran: Head of the Pirates
Hade: Pelloran's security chief
Arashan: Pelloran's personal assassin
Faylar: Head of the seperatists on Damagran
Derin: Ex-head of the pro-Republicans on Damagran. Chion and Krisha killed him.
Verlaine: Derin's replacement
O'Brien: A friendly engineer for the pirates that many of you have met

yerssot
ok, we discussed thing here, and I can tell you, it's NOT the Hutt, he's too far away and would do things more subtle...

Well, Ush posted O'Brien as important... this makes me think... why is he put there?
_____________________________________

and why are the Dark Jedis doing this? why tempting the power of Palpatine?

Ushgarak
Oh, it's just that so many of you met him. He's harmless.

As for the Dark Jedi... who the heck cares about Palpatine? He's just some harmless politician, isn't he?

yerssot
but I know EpIV, V and VI stick out tongue
and why wouldn't they know?

Ushgarak
Just to make sure...

It is important that everyone remembers that as far as your characters know:

1. Palpatine is a hero, swept to power on a sympathy vote over the Naboo situation. People look forward to him removing the corruption in the Republic.

2. The Sith, as everyone knows, have been extinct for a millenium.

3. Naboo was a trivial trade dispute that just happened to bring Palpatine to power. None of you know just how important it was.

yerssot
sorry, but didn't Mace said:

"This is the clue we need to unravel the mysterie of the Sith"
indicating that they knew about it, and when something that big is known, they should spread it with the other Jedis...

Ushgarak
It's only been a month since then, and it's not as if they have issued a galaxy-wide Sith alert, from what we can tell from the films. I've proceeded on the assumption that no-one is really in the know about this.

People playing the start of the game will have noted how concerned the Council seemed about something, though.

However, the spreading rumours about the Sith in the Galaxy WILL form part of the coming plotline.

Gundark
I'm betting the third party may be Black Sun.

yerssot
good! but why double-cross the DJs?
that's playing with fire!

Ushgarak
Part of their plan was to kill the DJ's, of course. But playing with fire indeed.

The Black Sun are not really local; nor do they have the guts in these times.

In fact, no pirate organisation would play with fire THAT dangerous for it's own sake. Someone has been VERY persuasive and VERY rich to get them to do this.

yerssot
ok, perhaps it's a Hutt, (remember Luke, Jabba was immune for his trick)

Captain REX
My character, Galder Welptet, gets his power from Fear. He scares the living daylights of the 20 workers on the platform.

He stays with Kuylen because of Survival. He survives with Kuylen because he's a Corsair, and in the Character Template it says Corsairs usually lead short, brutal lives.

Captain REX
What about me and Queeq. Are we important?

Captain REX
Galder Welptet - Dark Side Corsair

Galder Welptet was born on the world of Hoth. The cruiser carrying his parents crashed there and went through the ice and sank. 2 years after birth, his parents, Ren (his father) and Crystal (his mother) were killed by wampa ice monsters. He kept his father's green-bladed lightsaber. After years of self training (about 11 years), he used the Force to guide him to the submerged cruiser. Hacking away the ice with his lightsaber for almost another 2 years, he finally reached the cruiser's hangar doors, hacked them open, and stole a still-functional Starspeeder 3000. He modified it for human-piloting (usually piloted by an RX Droid) and left the planet.

He arrived on Tatooine where his hyperdrive broke down. He found a Dark Jedi living in the rocky walls of Beggar's Canyon. The Dark Jedi, a heavily-wounded Corsair named Pazol Crikten (A.K.A Paz), taught him the ways of the Dark Side of the Force. About 5 years later, when Gald was fully fledged into the Dark Jedi world, Pazol finally asked Gald where he came from. He told him the story of the cruiser and his parents, using the Force to remember things.

Paz told Gald that he and a group of now-dead pirates had gunned down the cruiser. Gald took this as it was Pazol's fault his parents were dead. In a fit of rage, Galder ignited his lightsaber and killed the Dark Jedi. He took his ex-Master's lightsaber, and ever since has fought with either Paz's lightsaber, his father's lightsaber, or both simultaneously, which Kuylen helped him with later. He then highered a smuggler to get him around. When Galder ran out of credits to pay him, he killed the pilot before they left a spaceport on Coruscant and tossed his body down a shaft to the lower levels.

Galder wandered the universe in a Star Viper named the Raging Reek, causing havoc and offering bodyguard duty to those who needed it. He usually kept his lightsabers well hidden. Those who saw them and tried to tell usually killed or were heavily injured and died of their wounds.

Finally, Galder met Kuylen. The tall, handsome, bearded-man gave Gald a strange feeling. He was highered on bodyguard duty. Gald learned all he could about Kuylen's private business, for all he knew was that he worked with a Hutt and pirates. Then, one day, when Kuylen had business on Damagran, they were confronted by a group of Rodians, lead by Teedo Velp. He tried best he could to hold off the Rodian bounty hunters, but they knocked him down, breaking his arm. He had only managed to take out two of them. The rest attacked Kuylen. To his amazement, Kuylen pulled out a lightsaber of his own and chopped them down. After the confrontation, Kuylen said "Come with me," and stayed with him ever since.

Recently, Galder was assigned to oversee the operations of Kuylen's gold mining. He had left the Raging Reek at the base on Jaglon and had taken a private shuttle. The shuttle was destroyed by a Master and Padawan at the platform. Galder, using his two lightsabers skillfully, cut down both of them.

Now, Galder is becoming worried. He is in charged of 20, easily scared workers on the platform that go back and forth between the planet and there. They have just found a very large supply of gold for the pirates. Kuylen has not answered Gald's calls in weeks. The only form of transportation is a large shuttle that takes people down to the planet. The crew of 20 haven't been payed because Kuylen hasn't told Gald how much to pay them. They are becoming restless and Gald fears mutiny...

Sorry it's so long. big grin

yerssot
No, why? big grin

Captain REX
I see...

yerssot
first, you need to get to meet us, then ... well... you'll see big grin

Ushgarak
Ta very much. Sorry about the scrambled thread.

Ushgarak
Looks like a visit to Hoth is going to hae to happen one day, with two characters with links there now...

Captain REX
Here's a little more about:

Galder Welptet

Galder has his own private hangar on Jalgon Alpha, another moon of Jalgon and the sister moon of Jalgon Beta. In the hangar are many ships. These ships are:

A Star Viper christened the Raging Reek. He killed the owner of the Viper, a smuggler named Tack G'mol. He made very few, small upgrades. It is armed with 4 laser cannons with advanced lasers, 2 concussion missile launchers (50 missiles), and 1 bombing device (30 proton bombs).

A N-1 Starfighter christened the Python. On a bodyguard mission on Naboo, a Jedi found him. He stole this ship to escape and flew to Coruscant, where he stayed temporarily. He added an ion cannon underneath the craft. It is armed with 2 laser cannons, 1 torpedo launcher (10 torpedoes), and an added ion cannon.

A Starspeeder 3000 christened Survivor. He picked up this ship when he escaped from Hoth and went to Tatooine. After being hired by Kuylen, he returned to Tatooine and picked it up. He removed the passenger room for the bombing device. It is armed with 2 laser cannons and 1 bombing device (80 proton bombs).

A Droid Starfighter upgraded to hold 1 pilot with life support. He picked up this ship during his bodyguard mission on Naboo after the Battle of Naboo. He found it crashed among the trees at the bottom of the Theed waterfall. He repaired it and upgraded it. It is armed with 4 laser cannons with advanced lasers, 2 cluster missile launchers (4 homing cluster missiles), and an ion cannon.

A speeder bike used for things done on Jalgon Beta and can be transported. He used it on Tatooine and picked it up also with the Survivor. He made a few small upgrades. It is armed with 1 laser cannon, 1 detonator launcher (5 thermal detonators), and an ion cannon.

A T-16 Skyhopper christened the Dark Cloud, it's painted black and red. He uses it for missions on Jalgon Beta and it can be transported. It is armed with 2 laser cannons, 2 light laser cannons, 2 torpedo launchers (5 torpedoes), 1 bombing device (20 proton bombs), and an ion cannon.

And, last but not least, a stolen Republican cruiser. He uses it to get around with large supplies of things and his other, atmospheric ships aboard. Rarely used. Good for heavy bombing missions. It is a fairly large cruiser and has a docking bay on the bottom, like a Star Destroyer. It is armed with 50 turrets, 1 tractor beam, 4 cockpit laser cannons, 2 cluster missile launchers (60 cluster missiles), 2 ion cannons, and 2 bombing devices (one in back, one in front; 150 proton bombs each).

Gald himself is armed with many weapons. His father's lightsaber and his ex-mentor's lightsaber are very deadly in the hands of this Dark Jedi. He is skilled in 2 simultaneous lightsaber fighting. He is also armed with 1 blaster pistol, an ion gun, a multipurpose rifle (armed with stun gun, laser, pulse cannon, and flamethrower), a Homing Missile Launcher (10 missiles), and a Disruptor Gun. He has very presice aim and has also a Tusken Raider sniper rifle and a long-range Grave Tusken crossbow.

Captain REX
No prob.

Captain REX
When the Jedi and Dark Jedi duel, I shall be victorious! I have two lightsabers and fight with them simultaneously. I have an array of projectile weapons, and many ships. Go to the Second Game Character Description. I added his weapons and his ships, for he has a large private hangar on Jalgon Alpha, a moon of Jalgon.

Captain REX
Now that your on the Avalar mining platform, Ush and I (mostly I) would like to give you
a tour of the mining platform. Here's a guide:

Galder's Office: Galder's Office is a grey room with two couches, two chairs, a desk, and a cabinet. Galder usually commands everything from this room. On the desk is a comm, pens, drinking cups (usually a strong, warm tea made for the workers on Avalar), and many other, random items. In the cabinet, Gald keeps his weapons, including 2 lightsabers he took from the Jedi and Padawan that appeared when he arrived at the platform.

Galder's Quarters: Galder's room is also grey, but much smaller. It has a fridge, a bed, a couch, three chairs, and a television. The rooms in his quarters are a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. It has exotic paintings and statues throughout the rooms.

Platform Hangar: The hangar is very empty, usually only holds a shuttle that carries the workers down to Avalar and back. Now holds the shuttle, Kuylen's corvette, Krisha's starfighter, and Quam's starfighter. Small, but enough to hold a few ships.

Star-Gazer Room: The Star-Gazer room is only used by Gald. It keeps records of planets, stars, systems, and Kuylen's planetary business. It is a round, black room, with one computer terminal in the middle. A 3d hologram of the planet chosen appears in front of the terminal, with nearby planets and stars around and behind the person at the terminal.

Workers' Quarters: The workers all live in a domed building near Gald's office and quarters. There are 30 rooms, but only 20 are occupied by the many species of workers; from Abyss to Zabrak. 5 of the other rooms were converted to guest rooms. 2 of the others were converted into a cafetaria, serving many different foods. 3 of the other rooms were converted into the laundry room, the shower room, and restroom

Engine Room: The platforms engine room is very important. If anything went wrong, the platform would plummet down on Avalar and crush the Dark Monk's archives. 4 workers make sure everything is running smoothly. The engine room is filled with pipes and computers.

Ush, feel free to add anything. smile

Ushgarak
Certainly. There is also a cargo docking arm that connects to the freighter that brings the gold to Jaglon Beta.

There is a detention centre that is used for keeping Damagran prisoners taken by the pirates, but the story has developed in a way that this is not needed. The cells are empty.

The most important part of the platform is the mining laser, mounted at the bottom. It is this laser that is patiently stripping away the ice on the planet, exposing the gold and, more importantly, the Monastery.

The control rrom for this laser is at almost the exact dead centre of the station.

Captain REX
Good. I would like to fill in with more info for the things you added.

Cargo Docking Arm: It is very small and sealed off from space. It is used to transport gold onto the freighter that comes by to pick up the gold to deliver it to Kuylen. Recently, the freighter hasn't been coming...

Detention Center: Faylar's pirates used to keep Damagran prisoners inside these 80, extremely small and cramped cells. Now the pirates haven't needed them, and they are empty. At the end of the long hallway of cells is an execution room for prisoner's that try and escape.

Mining Laser: The most important part of the platform is the mining laser, mounted at the bottom. It is this laser that is patiently stripping away the ice on the planet, exposing the gold and, more importantly, the Monastery.

Laser Control Room: The next most important part of the platform: the room that controls the mining laser. It is like the Death Star Superlaser control room, only the people controlling it are the top ranking workers, Rura Ta the Kaminoan, Tyko the Abyss, and occasionally Galder himself.

And a new room:

Mining Hangar: The third most important part of the platform. When the mining laser needs to charge for 3 days after one month of firing, or when the workers need to get the gold and they need to shut off the laser, they send down 5 bombers. The five fighters, Tutalone Bombers (shaped almost like bulgy, very round Y-Wings), are armed with lasers, 2 bombing devices (100 spreading proton bombs total), and a weak missile launcher (10 missiles). The pilots are armed with flamethrowers and laser rifles.

I think that's it.

Captain REX
Cool. When do I get to kill everyone? big grin

Captain REX
Here's another room:

Execution Room: Rarely used, the pirates used this room to torture and kill Damagran prisoners. There is a sparking chair (ESB), 2 Interoggation Droids (ANH), Force pikes (TPM & ROTJ), weak Pulse Cannons (SOTE Game), Khouns (AOTC), and many other devices of torture, such as cones. For killing, blasters, disruptors, Kyberdarts, Assasin Droids, and other methods of destruction are used.

Captain REX
Even MORE About:

Galder Welptet

While Galder usually sticks close to Jaglon Beta and Alpha or Avalar, he has an asteroid that he goes to for privacy. There, he has another hangar with more ships.

A Tutalone Bomber that he stole from the Avalar platform before meeting Kuylen. He took it to the asteroid for future use. He made a few upgrades to the already good fighter. The Tutalone Bomber looks like a bulgy, rounder Y-Wing without the cockpit head. The pilot sits where the R2 unit would usually go. It is armed with 4 laser cannons, 2 bombing devices (100 spreading proton bombs total), 1 cluster missile launcher (20 cluster missiles), and an ion cannon.

A stolen Jedi Starfighter that he took from a Jedi on the Ithorian homeworld. Once stolen, he repainted it black and loaded an R7 unit onboard. He made no upgrades except a hyperdrive, an ion cannon, and more space for heavy weapons. It is armed with 2 laser cannons, 2 proton torpedo launchers (12 torpedoes), 2 missile launchers (40 missiles), and an ion cannon.

A Firespray-class Starfighter, like the Slave I, only it is gold and black, and christened the Golden Tiger. He had attacked a factory that made those for a pirate, and made an escape in the ship. It is armed with 2 dual laser cannons (like the Slave I), 2 cockpit laser cannons, 2 multipurpose launchers (20 cluster missiles, 10 torpedoes, and 20 missiles), a tractor beam, and an ion cannon.

While Galder was a Dark Jedi, he did have four friends before meeting Kuylen's group.

RX-57, the piloting RX Droid on the Survivor, was removed from the Starspeeder when Gald made his escape from Hoth. RX-57 was deactivated until Gald transferred the mind of the droid over to a orange protocol droid body. Now the RX Droid is a mix of protocol and RX, and serves faithfully to his master.

Rura Ta, a smuggler and worker on the Avalar platform, made friends with Gald when the Dark Jedi made a stop on Kamino. Rura saved Galder's life when the Dark Jedi was about to be shot by 2 Kaminoans with Kyberdart guns. Shooting his own 2 friends, Rura escape Hydroton City on an Aiwha named Zelp with Galder. They made it to Tipoca City, where Gald had left his Star Viper. The two climbed in and escaped.

Gald and Rura broke up in the Rodian encounter against Kuylen. Rura was presumed dead, but later appeared, looking for work, on the Avalar platform. Now that Galder had more privacy, he sensed that Rura could be trained in the Force. He taught Rura how to use a lightsaber and Rura became very skilled. He was comissioned to work in the Mining Laser Control Room. His fate is being decided right now by Kuylen, who ordered Chion to kill all workers aboard the platform.

Sidd Harth, a Tutalone from Tutalo, befriended Gald on Tutalo 3 years before the siege on Tutalo. They roamed the galaxy for years, living off the bodyguard jobs they had. Sidd is a tall, buff giant with pale, creamy orange skin. His large, friendly red eyes on his triangular face are enough to fool any one into thinking that Sidd is harmless, like most Tutalones. But Sidd is very violent when he has to be. He has returned to his home planet to be with his people, who are going through harsh times.

Simon the Ewok was a friend Gald picked up on Endor. Gald named him Simon, taught him Basic and taught him fighting manuevers. Simon must have had the Force in him, for he was claimed to be an "invincible hairball" by Galder. He was supposedly invincible until the bodyguard mission on Kamino went awry. 2 Kaminoans that hated humans tried to fire Kyberdarts at Galder. Galder could not block them, so the young Ewok leaped in the way of the 2 darts, and before the Kaminoans could fire again, Rura Ta shot them in the backs. Simon died upon Rura's Aiwha Zelp in Galder's arms.

Ushgarak
Try not to OVERDO your fleet size, Rex! I mean, you'd need a fully-trained crew of several hundred to run that cruiser.

Also, a Corsair is less likely to be great with ships than a Fallen or Adventurer.

The background is mostly lovely; it's just that I don;t want other players asking where THEIR space fleets are as well.

Captain REX
It's a very small cruiser, with a crew of 50, and Gald just keeps them in stock. He doesn't always fly them. He usually only flies either the stolen N-1 or the Star Viper. Simple as that.

LanceWindu
Lance Windu: Light-Side Swordsman

Lance was born to the sister of powerful Jedi Master Mace Windu. His father was of noble descent on the planet Dantooine. Lance was born on Coruscant like most of his family. At the ripe young age of 2 he was chosen by his uncle to join the Jedi Order. He studied under Master Jeqaur Rar, a Twi'lek male.

Halfway through his training he got word that his father was murdered. Lance then left the Jedi Order to extract revenge on his father's death, but he was tracked down a few months later by his master. He was told that revenge and anger would eventually lead to the Dark Side. He was told many stories of fallen and dark Jedi. He didn't want to become one of them. He started back on track to the light and re-joined the order of the knights.

When he finally stoped growing he stood a tall 1.9 meters tall. He has fairly dark skin with large brown eyes that cut straight through you. His dark hair is cut short so as to not get in the way when training with weapons.

He was a youthful energetic young man who always did what he was told. He then began training with a lightsabre. He showed exceptinal skill with weilding his weapon. Like his famous uncle he became a swordsman. He would train nearly night and day in between lesson's from his master.

His 'sabre is a light blue. The hilt of it is made from a light weight material. He even marked his name into it so whenever he had to strike someone down they would know the name of the man that had to defend and honor himself. He wouldn't kill unless he had to, which wasn't many times.

At the age of 22 he and his master were sent on a mission to Hoth. During their time there his master was encountered by a Dark Jedi. The duel between the two of them lasted for about an hour, but in the end Master Jequar lost. Lance then retreated back to the Jedi Temple and told the story to the council. They assigned him to become a Jedi Knight since he was nearly down with his training anways. Just a few days later he was sent on another mission. One with some other Jedi. This is where he is now.

Ushgarak
Cheers, buddy!

Ok, I really MUST start work on getting Hoth in...

LanceWindu
Yeah, someone needs to be attacked by a Wompa Icemonster.

LanceWindu
I forgot to mention Lance's ship it is called the Free Lance. And also my character has a deep voice like his uncle.

Ushgarak
Ah, I see we are getting a desinger fleet for both sides now...

BTW, Adventurers, Fallens and Ronins are the best pilots.

LanceWindu
So how do you like the ships name?

Ushgarak
It's lovely. So long as no-one thinks you are a Freelancer! Mind you, a Freelancer in the Freelance would be far too corny.

LanceWindu
laughing out loud

Captain REX
I suppose I might be that Dark Jedi, no?

I think I started something...

Captain REX
BTW, great job on the character background! I might as well do:

Rura Ta - Dark Jedi in Training

Rura Ta, a smuggler and worker on the Avalar platform, made friends with Gald when the Dark Jedi made a stop on Kamino. Rura saved Galder's life when the Dark Jedi was about to be shot by 2 Kaminoans with Kyberdart guns. Shooting his own 2 friends, Rura escape Hydroton City on an Aiwha named Zelp with Galder. They made it to Tipoca City, where Gald had left his Star Viper. The two climbed in and escaped.

Rura always had his head in the clouds. Sometimes he would fly his V-Wing around the surface of Kamino or ride on his pet Aiwha, Zelp. He was also very skilled in gunslinging. He has two pistols, a Kyberdart launcher, and now one lightsaber, which was once owned by a Jedi that attacked Gald on the Avalar platform. The saber is blue, and Gald is training him to be a Corsair. Nobody in the rest of the group wants Rura around, but Gald sticks up for him, which Kuylen thinks is unlike a Dark Jedi, and it is.

Now, Rura has been thrown out into darkness by a hemisphere, cutting him off from the Jedi that were going to fight him and Gald. He is also cut off from Gald. He is just standing in the dark, waiting...

mah
Mah Ar'cor - Adventurer

Born on Coruscant, near the Jedi Council, Mah has always had the dream of one day going on an important Jedi mission.

He is pretty tall, and very light-footed, he can move around quick with great ease. His physical strength is not very great though.
The colour of his lightsabre is turquoise.

Captain REX
Sounds like a hobbit with a lightsaber. big grin Is your character hairy?

LanceWindu
If his character was a hobbit he would be short.

Captain REX
Remember, Mah thinks 4'2" is tall. big grin

mah
does not!

yerssot
Rex, don't let me pop our head off again! evil face

Mujaffa

Ki-Adi Gallia
Ki-Adi Gallia

Age: 32

Species: Humanoid

Homeworld: Naboo

Powers: Mind tricks, lightsaber battle, living Force, organization

Weaknesses: odd physical condition

Rank: Master

Weapons: Red lightsaber, throwing daggers strapped to boots and small blaster in cloak

Items: Necklace of Naboo stones, survival pack with small vial of medicine

Physical Description: 5'9'', 155 lbs. Dark hair, ice-blue eyes, fair complexion. Highly revered throughout Jedi Order, wise beyond her years.

Background: Found as an infant by a young Qui-Gon Jinn during the Great Time of Suffering, she was trained first by Yoda, then became the first Padawan of Qui-Gon. She has a very high midichlorian count, and was an adept Jedi early on, which is why she was elected to the Council at such a young age.

yerssot
now THAT's a description...

but I have a question... is a Jedi allowed to have a red lightsabre?
(btw, QGJ's first padawan got killed, nice future for you)

LanceWindu
laughing out loud

Gundark
I smell cut and paste....

Gundark's Jedi Knighthood was transformed into that of the life of a Master when the council bestowed the title upon her just two years ago, however she has yet to take on a padawan, despite being 37 now. Born on Vataan, she was taken into the Jedi order when she was all of two years old, however her parents both died along with the rest of the unfortunate population when Vataan went super-nova when Gundark was 10. The loss was bitter, but Gundark knew the tragedy was purely fate; she reconciled her anger and grief though her training and came out much the wiser Jedi on the other end. The council relies much upon her cool, collected thinking and ability to control her fear, fear that would lead to anger, hate and suffering, and thus to the dark side as many times Master Yoda had told her. Gundark had lost track of how many field missions she had been sent on by the council, but accepted each assignment with the respect due the council, usually without question. Ushgarak was one of her closest friends in the order and he was quite strong with the Force, despite the emotional baggage of his past.

Ushgarak
Cripes, I've become part of my own game world!

Letting a Jedi use a red sabre is no more 'wrong' than letting them use yellow ones. We haven't been very literal about colours.

yerssot
I don't smell anything...
well, my char description is pretty much the same as the last one...

Ushgarak
You really don't have to re-post your characters, you know!

Hmm, I think I will create a new descriptions thread tonight.

Captain REX
I smell KFC chicken. smile

Will it be for my game or just yours? I would like to have my own separate descriptions thread for my game, if you don't mind.

Ushgarak
Crap, I forgot to do that.

Anyway, seperate descriotion threads for each game. Clearly labelled.

Ushgarak
Ok, I am closing this thread now. Replacement coming soon.
