I'll try to answer your questions with the best I can. However, I have no idea of what X-Men incarnations you are asking about so I'll just answer these from the 616 Comics.
He became involved with Lorna Dane (Polaris) but the girl also became involved with Alex Summers (Havok) making Iceman storm off on his own for a while.
As said by someone above, he's more or less 20 years old when he first joined.
I think I've already explained this in my original post.
He's real name in the comics is Dominic Szilard Janos Petros.
I think you already know what his power is, pretty much self-explanatory. LOL
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants II led by Mystique (the first Brotherhood was led by Magneto consisting 5 members). His best friend was Pyro and when he found out that John was suffering from the Legacy Virus, he left his job from the government for Project: Wideawake to find cure for his one and only best friend. *sniff*. But eventually, he gave up and Pyro died.
While at the Brotherhood, he and his other co-members did horrible things (maybe you could say that). They tried to capture X-51 and to assasinate Senator Kelly (both unsuccessful)
Iceman was the youngest being only a teenager. But I really have no clue what exactly their ages were when they first joined. Mainly teenagers to early adults.
When Scott Summers was a child, his father, Major Christopher Summers, his mother Katherine, and his brother Alex, were flying on a private plane, when suddenly it was attacked by an alien Shi'ar ship. With the plane being on fire, Scott's parents pushed him and Alex out of the plane with a parachute attached to them. The parachute was unable to slow their fall sufficiently to prevent Scott from suffering a head injury on landing. (The injury damaged the part of Scott's brain that would have enabled him to control his optic blasts.)
Both parents believed dead, Scott and Alex were separated, placed in an orphanage (this orphanage was secretly ran by Mr. Sinister). Alex was the first one to be adopted, while Scott spent a year in a hospital recuperating from his head injury.
As a teenage, Scott suffered headaches and eyestrain, which was later discovered by an eye specialist that ruby glasses corrected the problem. Later, Scott's mutant powers, the ability to blast force beams from his eyes, manifested for the first time. Found by a man called the Jack of Diamonds, forced him to help him in his crimes, using his optic blast as a weapon. Professor Xavier, who was after Scott, rescued him from the madman Jack of Diamonds.
Recruited by Professor Xavier, Scott Summers became known as Cyclops, the leader of the new team of mutants, the X-Men. It was there where he met and fell in love with his teammate, Jean Grey. For years, both of them were too shy to express their real feelings for each other.
After a while the original X-Men left the team, for the exception of Cyclops, who continued to be the leader of the second generation of X-Men.
When an entity known as the Phoenix took the place of Jean, no one suspected that it was an imposter. Later this Phoenix became the Dark Phoenix and in order to avoid bringing more destruction, committed suicide. Scott resigned the team, leaving Storm in command after a battling for the leadership.
Eventually he returned to the team and met and married Madelyne Pryor, a woman who was Jean's double; he was unaware she was a clone of Jean created by Mister Sinister. Scott and Madelyne had a baby son, Nathan Christopher, and Scott again left the X-Men. The real Jean Grey later appeared and Cyclops leaving his wife went to Jean and form the X-Factor team. Madelyne went insane and lost in a combat against Jean.
Apocalypse infected Nathan with a techno-virus, forcing Scott to give his son to an alternate future cult known as the Askani in order to save the baby's life.
Scott finally married Jean, but they spent their honeymoon in an alternate future, where they got to raise Nathan as Slym and Red.
Once Nathan reached his teen years, Scott and Jean returned to their own time. (Nathan turned out to be Cable, who has traveled back into our present to stop Apocalypse.)
When Bastion captured Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Cannonball, and Wolverine, all seemed lost. After escaping from Bastion, Cyclops discovers that he planted a bomb inside his body!!!
Thanks to Dr. Cecilia Reyes and team work from the X-Men, Cyclops survived.
In order to recuperate from his operation, Cyclops and Jean left the X-Men and went to Canada.
He later returned to the X-Men to discover the team had disbanded. He formed the Astonishing X-Men (Cyclops, Jean Grey, Cable, Angel, X-Man, Wolverine) to save the Mannites (powerful mutant children).
Recently, Scott sacrificed his life during a battle during the Twelve Saga by merging with Apocalypse who wanted Nate Grey as his host. Believed dead by most of his teammates, Scott wondered around without any memory of who he was, or where he came from. But strange nightmares causes him to think that he could endanger anyone around him! Found by Phoenix and Cable (his wife and son, respectively), he struggled for his identity. Cyclops fought Apocalypse in his mind for control, when finally, Jean Grey separated both entities. Cyclops has returned to the X-Men, but things will not be the same, since he doesn't expect others to trust him, and neither can he trust himself as part of Apocalypse influence might still be within him.
Hope these helped.
