Image attachments now show a thumbnail instead of the whole picture. You can click on the thumbnail to view the original size. The original size is also optimized when you upload.

Let me know if you experience any problems.

BTW, here is a test.

New attachments will be disabled while the thumbnails are being created for the old attachements.

I'll post here once it has been completed.

It's taking WAY too long to process the 17,000 pictures. In the past 45 mins it's done around 2000. So might be quite a while before attachments are re-enabled.

Attachments should now be working.

If the original image is larger than 800x600 it will be shrunk down to fit 800x600.

Lets test. This was originally 1024x768:

great test raz angelina jolile's a cutie and great thet we now have thumbnails, i used to hate those attachments... one page was opening for 10 minutes... darn... i shrug at the mere memory of that! *shrugs*

But still doesn't work!!!! Everybody else seems to see the pics perfectly well!!! But I don't, I can't even see my own attachments!!!! All I see is the linked images and the sigs......

but why I can't open them I save the pics in my comp... then click on it ond no program opens them..... no MGI Psuite..... no Microsoft Photoeditor.... no Adobe Photoshop...... it won't even open the ones I posted

The saving of pictures is a known problem and I am trying to find a fix for it.

My comp. only shows "click to see image" on the thumbnails. Is this how its going to be from now on or is my computer just messed up?

It just kina bothers me that in some peoples sigs it does the same thing and everytime that person posts it dows the thumbnail thing

Those people shouldn't be hosting outsourced images in their sigs.

And about the 'click this image' picture. That there is a problem getting the image or the image is larger than 250k. Also it only tries fetch an image once and permenantly gives up.
