amity75
Here are some of mine:
Bad guys melting at the end of "Raiders" (Its supposed to be a kids movie for cryin out loud!)
The introduction of the kiddie catcher in "Chitty chitty bang bang"
The kid being turned into a blueberry in "Willie Wonka"
"Deliverance" - no not the Ned Beatty piggy squealing scene but the duelling banjoes scene. Where the hell did that kid come from? Is he like that in real life?
"Wizard of Oz" - Those flying monkeys!

MissesDepp?!
Mine are:
1. In clockwork orange when the guy is raping the girl and she bites his ear off and tries to bite his...er...umm.... wink
2. i'm not sure the name of the movie but it's about a jealous mistress, when the guy breaks up with her she comes over to his house and he's outside playing with his kids and he comes in and there's the pot boiling and he lifts the lid and the mistress had put his kids bunny rabbit in the pot sick sick sick sick

Irrevrsible- Rape Scene

SilverFighter
There a few I can mention but the most recent is May. That scene with the broken glass and the blind children is just too disturbing.

KidRock
the Ring- the whole movie

BackFire
Well, since I pretty much pride myself on going out of my way to see the most horrific, disturbing and painful films ever, My list will probably be strange to most of you, since the majority of the titles I list are not mainstreem. But you can rest assured these scenes i list are far worse then anything else out there.

Irriversible - The 13 minute rape scene, shot in one single shot, never cutting, truley disgusting, disturbing and heartbreaking, the way rape should be pertraid. Also the beginning is equally mind bending.

Cannibal Holocaust - This film has several infamouse scenes that are known as some of the most horrific moments ever, the animal deaths, the rape scene, the castration...all are worth mentioning, so that's why I mentiond all of them..

I Spit on your Grave - This is another one that has numerous scenes, the castration scene is truley nausiating...and the rape scene, although a bit over the top, is disgusting none the less.

Henry - Portrait of a Serial Killer - The whole film is very disturbing, but one scene stands out, the video tape they make of themselves murdering a family....chilling..

Kids - The whole film

Zombie - The eye splinter scene

Requiem for a Dream - the heartbreaking ending...that haunts you for days.

Sweet Hereafter - The bus crash

Man Bites Dog

Happiness- The conversation between Dr. Maplewood (pedafile) and his son when the son finds out his dad has raped several children

Those are all the best of the worst, other notables are Last House on the Left, American History X, and The Shining.

Palaka
As a kid, that scene in "The Hitcher" where the guy finds a finger in his french fries kinda shocked me (I loved french fries y'see)

And pretty much every minute of "Last House on the Left" is sickening, it's like being a witness to a horrible crime.

Darth Vicious
Irreversible opening and rape scene, and yes Backfire i noticed that u seem to like a lot of horrible and disturbing films!

Tired Hiker
I'm with Backfire on Hapiness.

BOPRecruit 16
most disturbing movie moments:

pulp fiction - when the black (sorry) guy gets tortured by two men and looks like they are going to sex him up sick

risky business - as tom cruise's character leaves the house, he can hear a pal of his having sex. tells pal to grunt twice to see if what he's saying is heard. *just saw this today...or was it yesterday...either way it was nasty

let me get back to his list later...

speiderman
A disturbing film was 187. Its depictions of gang members was pretty violent.

speiderman
especially when the teacher plays russian roulette with the gang members.

johnny_rotten
The last 20 odd minutes in the original Texas chainsaw massacre for me.

total metalhead
when Bambi's mom gets killed. seriously that is heart breaking.

ragesRemorse
yeah or when little johnny paper grows up and leaves puff all alone.

those old war movies are pretty damn disturbing. My friends dad bought that WWII collection some years back which was just all actuall footage from war propaganda reporters. There is a whole section in those films dedicated to different land mines, and what they do to the soldiers, and they show it in great detail.

CaptainClaire
In Sleepers when the boys are getting abused. And also Ted Bundy - pretty much the whole film though especially when they are preparing him for his execution.

98R1
Jacob's Ladder
When the car almost hits him and he see's the guy in the back seat devil

A Talking Dog
The Faces of Death Series : Split Penis Examination

and, like,

The Steve-O Videos - Butterfly

{To MissesDepp?!

"1. In clockwork orange when the guy is raping the girl and she bites his ear off and tries to bite his...er...umm...."

WHEN DOES THIS HAPPEN? I RECALL NOTHING LIKE THIS}

JackSparrowLuvr
I second that!!! I actually went in the cabin where it was fimled and i was going to sleep there! It was at camp in the summer.

stinkfist462
haggard --- the guy masturbates to his own ass while looking in the mirror sick

DeNiro
i always found the ending of casino distrubing when joe peasci charecter nicky and his bother get beating almost to death with the base ball bats then they were buried alive.

if u were a kid and u saw the movie return of oz which is the second wizard of oz movie u would find that whole flim distrubing.

henry portiat of a seril killer like back fire said when they taped them selvs killing a family.

house of a thousand corpses when they keep zooming away from otis holding a gun to the cops head and then after a long ass time he pulls the trigger.

the part in texas chainsaw massacre part two when leatherface cuts the face off of the one radio station guy and puts the face on the girl and it is all wet and then the guy wakes up and he is still alive. no that was messed up.

and the rage carrie two when she explodes the girls glasses and her eyes explode wich is pretty sick it in self but then she falls back and her spear gun goes into the guy that looks like me ( kid from home improvment)) well it goes in front of his crocuh and she pulls the trigger and his balls and pee pee come out of his butt and go into the pool sick

cermiestar
wizard of Oz 2 - those wheelers!

MissesDepp?!
98R1 that pic is from clockwork orange which was a very disturbing movie, i liked it alot it was pretty funny but still disturbing.
I still stand by that movie i saw where the jealous mistress puts the bunny in the pot it scared the f.uck out of me. Also Cry baby a Johnny Depp movie they have a very intense make out scene and there are many tounges involved including his....not that i mind.

A.D. Skinner
Event Horizon in which Sam Neil comes into contact with his dead wife in the black tunnel.

Robocop when the gang shoots off Murphy's hand and then shoots him like crazy until finally putting a single bullet in his head.

And the most disturbing moment in a movie that I can remember is when that chick from Saved by the bell does a lap dance in showgirls ! Ohh gawd is she nasty !

Bad Boy
Fire in the Sky- abduction scene

Audition- torture scene!

alic88
hey so is the rape scene in IRRIVERSABLE cool?! does it make u feel horny lol

Bad Boy

zoemorn
MissesDepp i think UR are referring to Fatal Attraction (bunny boiling).

Dont forget Lord of the Flies in which the fat kid gets hammered by the boulder. it made me want to go in and wring all their filthy little neckses.

my precious

sumunabeech
Out of all the scenes in The Excorcist, the one that gets me most is where she pisses on the floor during the party. I don't know why, it's one of the most bland scenes in the movie, but it's chilling to me.

Silvermane
Well I think the Girl and Cross scene in the Excorcist is one of the most disturbing scenes ever, also the stairs scene too ~shiver~

wicker_man
Its not disturbing but just plain gross, its one of the deleted scenes from Ali G In Da House, where Ali and the leader of the 'Eastside Massive' decide to have a duel with bogeys, its done in some detail and even thinking about it now is bringing that 'wanna throw up' sensation back.

Also in one of the Band of Brothers Episodes (Episode 9 'Why We Fight' to be precise) where they find the concentration camp that bit distrubed me as it has some elements of truth behind it.

BarmyBrummie
Piranah, i never liked fish after watching that movie especially when they eat off the old mans legs.
And the whole of willy wonka and the chocolate factory. Gene Wilder really disturbs me, he looks wierd.

dystopia
Luis Bunuel's Un chien andalou where the woman's eye is slit wide open!

TheShadowsSmile
I'm sorry, but when did that happen in A Clockwork Orange? I recall a rape scene when Alex is undergoing his therapy but I don't recall someone getting their ear bitten off.

The whole movie A Clockwork Orange is deeply disturbing because I think that's what America is coming to in terms of people being brainwashed into not having a choice. If some of you haven't noticed, the trendy thing to do now is follow crowds. Well, when one hundred people think alike they are essentially one mind. So basically, a leader is calling the shots and making the choice. How disgusting. No one wants to take on the role of an individual anymore.

That rabbit "Frank" on Donnie Darko was pretty disturbing the first time I saw it just because if its sheer ugliness.

Requiem for a Dream really didn't disturb me because I'm fully aware that drug addicts will do anything for a high.

Blue Velvet was really disturbing because that movie hit close to home. It reminds me of the town I currently live in right now. A little too-good-to-be-true for my tastes. Evil lurks right beneath the surface.

The Shining scared the hell out of me. It really messed with my mind.

Wonka's Helper
Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - - - The boat ride.

Hell Asylum - - - Every PART.

Myth
American History X's rape scene
Boat Trip (I thought it was going to make fun of gay people but I think it was made by gay people trying to make straight people gay as well)
Dreamcatcher when the shit weasel came around the corner because thats when I gave up all hope of that movie. It was worse when there turned out to be full size shit weasels. *gag* what a horrible movie.

roundisfunny
"Man Bites Dog"--when he kills the old lady by shouting into her ear loudly enough to give her a heart attack.

"The Exorcist"--It's hard to nail down one specific sequence or shot, but if I had to choose, I'd say the rapid-fire demon face in Father Karras' dream.

"Natural Born Killers"--the very end, where the killers live happily ever after. Come on!

Inspector Rick
Co-signed. Forcing Pesci (?) to watch his own brother get beaten to death with baseball bats. Sickning!

Also, another one would have to be in American History X, when Ed Norton makes that one guy bite the curb, then stomps on the back of his head. Theres nothing in this world to make me do that.

mardook
The scene in Xtro when the girl births the full grown man.

Kes
IMO the only thing disturbing about The exorcists is how boring the movie is.

Primitive Screwhead #1
Spoiler here for those who haven't seen it....

My most disturbing scene definitely comes from The Crying Game... when Steven Rea's character learns that the woman he has been involved with (Jaye Davidson) isn't really a woman. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. I had no idea who Jaye Davidson was at the time, so I never saw it coming <shudder>.

amity75
My God you're so right! I had to go and take a good look at myself in the mirror after that scene!

Tired Hiker
It wasn't the most disturbing, but there were three surgery scenes in Master And Commander that all made me wince. A metal coin being put into one man's skull, the kid who had to have his arm chopped off, and the Doctor when he did his own surgery on a bullet wound to the abdomen.

Tired Hiker

Kes
You know TH, instead of quoting yourself and putting spoiler tags in the quotes you could have just edited the post wink

Cinemaddiction
"Thirteen Ghosts" (2001) when the lawyer was split in half by the sliding glass, and one half slide down, and you could see the back half, brains and all. That was actually kinda cool.

Honorable mention goes to the "Resident Evil" laser grater for taking slicing and dicing to a whole new level.

And of course the token hot chick in "Jason X', getting a liquid nitrogen facial, only to have it bashed out on the counter.

Best. Death Scene. Ever.

mary_darko
by far the suicide and murder of the kids on Michael Winterbotomm's JUDE..i think the first time on my life i screamed at a film...too appaling....

strangeland
I think a disturbing part is in the movie thriteen b/c that is sisturbing to see these teenage girls doing all this thats why its a awesome movie and should be nominated for awards

Myth
How about the cat of nine tails scene in The Passion of the Christ? That was grusome (yet awesome).

Krosus
For me the most disturbing scene in a Film award goes to:

The Marathon Man

Scene Dustin Hoffman in the dentist chair:
Poor Dustin is having his teeth mangled and drilled by a pyscho Nazi Dr Szell (laurence Olivier)without anesthetic while all the time being Asked.
''Is it safe?''
''Is it safe?''
I didnt visit a dentist for 2 years after that film cause my dentist reminded me of Szell.

amity75
When the architecture student girl got shot in Schindlers List. It was done so matter of factly I remember thinking "Oh shit, I've got another 2.5 hrs of these shocks to go" And I was sitting in the front row of the cinema.

movieman
I saw this film as a child that I'm never going to forget, but I can't remember what the title. I dunno if I ever even knew the title, but the scene I remember is the most disturbing thing ever.

This lady puts a bunch of kids in a crate. A wooden crate. She tricks them in there, and they're all piled on top of each other, and then she ****ing takes a chainsaw, and cuts the crate in half with all the children! Insane.

I really want to know what this film is, so I can rewatch it.

VilleValo462
thats sad sad

Evy_O
gross sick
I'd say the rape scene in Irreversible was pretty disturbing roll eyes (sarcastic)

eleveninches
The scenes I remember the most are:
The scene where everything else is in black and white, and the little girl is the only one in colour.

The scene where the nazi party member gets out of bed with his girlfriend to take random shots at workers with a sniper rifle from his house on the top of the hill.

The scene where the train of woman workers is rerouted to the death camp.

really sad movie, but to ignore it is to pretend it never happened. There are lessons to be learned by scociety from this era.

Cinemaddiction
Quite sad. It is out on DVD today, as a matter of fact. BTW, Eleveninches. Cool sig pic, but it ooked fuzzy..so if ya want this one I cooked up, go for it. I was bored. stick out tongue

eleveninches
Thanx. I'll try it out

JediOasis
In Trainspotting when Ewen McGregor's character, Mark Renton, is locked in his room and the baby that died is crawling on the ceiling of his room and rotates its head 360 was kind of disturbing..............

badkittykitty
you just answered one of my long time questions! I caught that movie on cable and seen that..it freaked me out..but I couldn't remember the name of the movie! then for years I asked my friends if they seen any thing like that..no one knew..thanks!

boxofdeath2.0
I don't think anybody has mentioned it yet, but by far the most disturbing moment in any movie ever is in that stupid hobbit movie when that gay elf started making out with that butch little dwarf girl. I'll have nightmares for years...

Honorable mention goes to Ernest Goes to Camp, that one part where he went to the camp.

Linkalicious
how about all of the movie Cabin Fever...flesh eating viruses are gross!

kj3152
I think that crucifiction scene in The Passion of Christ, the whole film was pretty disturbing but those scenes were particually bad.

sauron
it will hapen again sad

history repeats itself, nobody listens, history repeats itself, nobody listens, history repeats itself, nobody listens

Punker69
gigli the WHOLE MOVIE!!!

kj3152
It was bad but hey it wasn't disturbing lol

vagaryatwill
There are a couple of scenes in Seven that were pretty horific...

LordMortis
Ye seven had some pretty disturbing scenes in. The worst one (for me anyway) was in battle royale when some lass knifes this guy in the bo!!ox. It was bad enuf but she didnt have to keep doing it. I had my legs croseed for hours after that huh

LordMortis
Or maybee marcellus wallace getting raped in pulp fiction. Cant stand to watch that bit lol. Respectedly he got his own back. Just what is he gonna do with them pliers and a blow torch jus doesnt comprehend confused

eleveninches
Maybe the scene in 'the passion' where he is flayed almost to death with those whips that have the sharp metal blades on the end, and recieves about 40 of those all over his body until there is barely any skin left on him. That scene was seriously graphic and effective. sad

VilleValo462
yes

burlyman
Crossroads

bluegrass
The scene in Reservoir Dogs where Mr. Blonde has the cop tied up on the chair and he takes that old school shaving razor and cuts his ear off. Then he puts the ear up to his mouth and yells in it, "can you hear me, can you hear me. The sickest part is how he is smiling and laughing and just truly enjoying it the whole time he does it.
That was disturbing

MCElite
the worst bit in cabin fever is the fellin up of the inside of the girls leg, the bowling story and where he attacks the girl with a hammer (oh and the shaving of the legs y y did she carry on???????)

WindDancer
Another distubing scene was in Ichi the Killer
near the end of the movie when Ichi is standing on top of the roof, he goes insane and the kid laying in the floor with his head split/cut in half

Now that was disturbing even for me!!!!

Tawney
Chanisaw massacure ALL THE WAY holey hell when the blonde guy is brought downstairs and he holds onto the wall and his fingernails scrape off THAT IS NASTY haha

nemo when his mom dies

gothika when that weird ass fire girl just like pops up everywhere and tries to kill people

american pie 2 when they are in the room and stiff finds a blue dildo haha that was gross but funny

~*~*~*~Tawney~*~*~*~*~*~

bambie yeah i agree haha

neo2
some disturbing moments for me......
Passion of the Christ- Judas' downfall, the satanic baby
Unbreakable-When that man comes to that family's house and says, "I like your house, can I come in?"
Exorcist-The crucifix scene, the people who have seen exorcist know what I'm talking about.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre(original)-When the family is at the dinner table, eating people, i think it was people
Pi- the poking at the brain part

Yomammy
Wow. Dunno if I could list a single most disturbing moment, but there are a few that really come to mind when thinking about this:
Passion of the Christ - All in all, the whole thing is pretty disturbing, but for one single scene in particular (for me) was when Jesus was strapped down to the whipping post and was just brutally beaten, nearly to death by the Romans. I think the precise moment that was the worst for me was when they pulled out the scourge that had pieces of metal and glass on it. The first whip that pulled out a chunk of flesh really hit me hard. sad

Requiem For A Dream - The whole second half of this movie has multiple scenes that were pretty disturbing, but I'd say the climatic finale where they show all 4 of the main characters in their final demise; Marion at the sex party with all of the corporate suits throwing money at her while she was doing what she was doing; Harry and the end of his infection, Harry's mom and how she ended up, and Tyrone sitting in jail. Pretty powerful stuff but that doesn't make it any less disturbing

Silence of the Lambs - Buffalo Bill dancing around in his skin suit. Egads. sick

The Exorcist - There are a few scenes that were pretty bad, but for me, when Regan was raping herself with that crucifix. *shudder*

Yomammy
I forgot about one other one that I was going to include (but spaced it):

The Deer Hunter - There are a few scenes in this that were a bit disturbing, but I'd say that the infamous Russian Roulette scenes were the worst. Hell of a movie!!!

shadow link
i havnt seen many disturbing movies so mine will seem stupid

-when william wallaces wife got her throat slit (i still wonder how they did that)

-one hour photo when hes having that dream and hes covering his eyes and blood spurts out suddenly

WindDancer
Now this was one very disturbing movie:

Fight for your life (1977)

This movie has to be the best and most sickess portrayed of Racism in America. Even after the film was over I couldn't believe the evilness of the characters. Great film, but it pushes to limits of tolerance. How disturbing was it? Just listen to redneck give his comments in this film. I recommend it! Just be aware if you're easily offended by racist comments.

Tired Hiker
Ned Beatty in Deliverance. no expression

eleveninches
All of schindlers list (because it really happenned).
8mm
Some of Event horizon
Some parts of hellraiser
parts of nightmare on elm street

vagaryatwill
Some parts of Seven were pretty disturbing....and the thought of some of the stuff that wasn't even shown in Seven was pretty disturbing.

Red Superfly
Man that bit in Reservoir Dogs with the ear is sickening. I felt awful watching that. Such a great moment. Mr Blonde is so cool, but he's f*cked in the head!

Then there's the eyeball pluck (and squish) in Kill Bill. Nuff said.

Pretty much everything from The Exorcist freaked me out.

cgtuna21
In Platoon when Bunny was beating the shit out of that vietnamese kid with one eye i felt sorry for him

Drifter101
disturbing moments in a flick? I'd say all moments in the movie "The Omen"

Drifter101
+ "The Exorcist"

vagaryatwill
Mine's got to be when Hannibal Lector cuts open the person's head and eats the brain....that's just gross...

mhuda
The Matrix Revolutions: Neo's crying after Trinity is impaled in four places and she lives long enough to give a 15-minute goodbye speech. So disturbing, in fact, that it was the most phoniest sadness I've ever seen in a movie and I actually found myself laughing. I wondered if this movie was intended as a comedy. I could have sworn it was.

The rest of the movie is pretty disturbing, too. It's also loud, ugly, violent, and just plain awful.

amity75
Totally agree with you there.

darthmaul1813
That girl in The Ring was disturbing.

In Cabin Fever when they opened that shed door and it shows that girl's rotting body. Actually... pretty much ALL of Cabin Fever was disturbing...

In Gothika when it showed that guy kill that girl after raping her. And the part when they were showering and that girl shows up... *shivers*

That one guy's hand in Scary Movie 2 (esp. when he's serving them food *gags*).

The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre was extremely disturbing! Especially when Leatherface puts that guy on that meat hook when he was still alive. *shivers* The worst part about all that was the fact that it really happened.

That's all I can think of for now.

Krexo
The ' squeal like a piggy ' scene in Deliverance. Horrifying. Haha

pr1983
that or the rape scene from irreversible

deadly_force
Red Superfly the ear scene in reservoir dogs was very disturbing. look at this from imdb.com When the cop pleads for his life during the torture scene, he says that he has a child at home. This line was improvised by Kirk Baltz, and when he first said it, Michael Madsen was so disturbed by the idea of it that he couldn't finish the scene.

The Redeemer
After finally catching THE EXTERMINATOR uncut thanks to new BBFC lax rules, the scene where the VERY anti-hero ties a sadistic child procurer to a bed and fries him with lighter fluid is almost unwatchable...

Not that I'm complaining about the sicko's fate!

OMG yeah. Ugh!
And that Cabin fever one with the shaving of the legs.
Also, Jesus' beating in Passion of the Christ was unbearable, especially with the whip that rips his skin off.

peejay88
Any given sunday- Where an american football player has his eye ripped right out of the socket, that made me wince n mess with my eye lol.

In misery when that woman is keeping that author at her house and she puts concrete next to his legs n cracks em with a mallet, that's awful, another one where you wince n start like tensing your legs.

Well..Ive like, actually not even heard of 3/4 of the films mentioned in this thread, and some of them that I HAVE heard of, I havent seen.
I have yet to see a very disturbing scene. I guess the video tape in the ring was kind of freaky, and the girl in the closet. Other then that...........idk.

Actually, it didn't really happen! I did a research project on it for a history class. Leatherface and Hannibal Lector are both the same person, a real guy who commited acts similar to those of the two characters I think in Colorado. But the Texas Chainsaw Massacre guy did not exist. The footage at the end isn't real. My brother watched a thing where they filmed it.
