OK, theres alot of those ideas i want to shoot down, but the most blatant is where you say we will see the Rebel Alliance and Empires first battle. If i remember right, the very beginning of ANH, in the opening scroll, it says the Rebels have just been victorious in their first fight against the Empire. Sorry.

That their memory is wiped is a rumor, but highly probable, I think

Mind-wipe is not something GL cares about, and it is some two deacdes too early for the to work for Antilles.

As to why Dooku not being in OT....probably because GL hadn't dreamed the man into existence yet.

well why do to have killed Jar Jar Binks and Aurra Sting? they must die it will be great.

Jar Jar WON'T die, every kid loves him, it's like killing Snowhite, impossible to do.

just to clarify a bit. There will be no baby leia in Episode III. Until ROTJ, we will beleive that Anakin only had a son.

Again, I repeat, surprises from the OT do NOT have to be kept for the new films. So we can very easily see a baby Leia.

its not a matter of it being a surprise, its just theres not REASON to have her until then. EVERYTHING in these movies is there for a purpose. GL may suck at directing, but hes a VERY GOOD storyteller. The theme of these movies is of Anakin falling, and then being redeemed through his SON. There are two and only two reasons GL made Luke and Leia siblings in the first place. 1. a surprise. and 2. It is what made Luke fulfill his destiny. Up until ROTJ, theres simply no point for Anakin to have more than two children. And there is certainly no reason for Luke to have a sister. I think GL will put something in EPIII, that in retrospect, we can see that there is another skywalker, but it will not be obvious, something very subtle. Such as TWO ships leaving padme from whereever she is at the end of EPIII, instead of just one.

Well, maybe. I can't see any reason for him to leave Leia out; I mean, when you have twins it can be hard to ignore one of them. And there is the whole Bail Organa angle on it, of course.

its certainly not definate, its just my theory, that i base on logic, no more no less. and to be brutally honest, EPIII is going to have to span a 9 month time period to show us the birth of luke and leia. no star wars movie has every spanned that long a period of time. thats not to say it cant happen, but i dont think it likely. i suppose the naboo could have a really short period to carry children, but i doubt it. i really honestly doubt well even see them born. In my opinion, the movie will end with her pregnant, but the specific hope that one day her CHILD willbe born, grow up, and redeem his father. i mean, an ER style birth scene in a star wars movie? youve got to be kidding! I think the whole Bail Organa friendship with Padme is just so in ROTJ, well be like, ohhhhhh that makes sense that she would have chosen him to raise her child. where as before ROTJ, well just think, wow, bails kid is following in her daddys footsteps.

Well, if the movie ends before they are born or the twins are not shown at all, then fair enough. Still, that will upset the 'Padme must die' brigade.

Remember that OB1 takes Luke away at birth, what about Leia? She droppes out a few minutes after OB1 left?

to the best of my knowledge, no one has said anything about ob1 not knowing about leia. hes the one that tells luke that she is his sister, for goodness sakes! Anakin doesnt know he has a daughter until EPVI, and he may not even know he has a son until the time b/w EPIV and EPV;thats not really clear to me yet. Either way, ob1 and padme seem to be the only one that know about them both. unless yoda is the one that told ben about leia("no, there is another" obi-wan probably knows, and yodas comment about another is just because ben doesnt think leia has the power...

I personally think he does. How GL will explain the reason obi-wan tells yoda that luke was their only hope, remains to be seen. GL is a good story teller, but even they make mistakes. There COULD be a very good reason GL put that in the script, and he has it all planned out somehow, but I haven't thought of any explainations yet.

I'm pretty sure that simply reflected Obi-Wan having no faith in Leia being a solution. And I think he was right.

the whole truth depending on ones point of view is not something obiwan came up with himself. if you listen carefully in episode I, qui-gon says the same thing to obiwan, reguarding anakin being the chosen one, if i remember. thats half of why i question the whole explaination of anakins parentage. seems like foreshadowing to me

That's very harsh. It is a 'lie' that reflects EXCATLY what Obi-Wan believes. And even Luke thought it, for a little bit- 'Then my father is truly gone'.
