Ushgarak
Heh... I remmeber what my old Politics teacher had to say about Michael Collins.

"A good film... if you like comedy..."

wicker_man
Still i thought it was a pretty good film, as usual Liam Nesson proves what a wonderful actor he is, something that his latter films (i.e. Star Wars, K:19 and Gun Shy) have not done him justice for, even Julia Roberts gave a sterling performance, Alan Rickman also proves he can do serious roles as well as comic relief.

Wicker Will... Beetlejuice? Hey, it's a good movie, but Beetlejuice!?!

I must admit, I haven't heard of many of the films in your top 100. But I do have a few remarks to make, so bare with me!

Aliens, Jaws, Psycho, Halloween... classics, I couldn't agree with more. They're great, along with anything Monty Python (funniest thing ever!)

The green mile and Final destination are great (final destination always gets a laugh out of me). And I have yet to see Wicker Man T_T

I notice you have quite a few musicals in there (Oliver, and seven brides for seven brothers, grease), not only do you stick to the classics, but you take the time to get to know the new stuff as well (love mallrats!)

Perhaps I too, should try to make a top 100?

botankus
Wicker Man's list is good except for #1 (think he meant to have 3 zero's after the "1"wink

Kes
blink

wicker_man
Cheers for the feedback, i try to watch as many films as possible i am pretty open to what i like (although i do have a keen interest in horror movies lol hence the large inclusion of horror movies into my list)

As for Beetlejuice which both you and Botankus made a point of, i feel i should explain my reasons for placing this as my top film of all time.
Tim Burton (the director) has always been a favourite of mine, i mean the guy has such a macrbe imagination (Edward Sissor Hands, Sleepy Hollow, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman etc) although his latter entries (Planet of the Apes anyone ?) was pretty poor in comparison.
As for Beetlejuice this was one of the first dark humour orientated films i ever watched and has remained a firm favourite since that time (and im talking 12 years or so), Micheal Keaton pulls of Beetlejuice wonderfully, the make up and hype-active, bad-taste attitude almost make Keaton unrecognisable particuarly when you compare his roles in Batman & Multiplicity. Burtons idea of the after life is truely imagintive and dark, and the supporting cast (most notably Catherine O'Hara's obnoxious Lydia Deets & Winnona Ryders typical angst ridden goth gal) really add to that typical Burton atmosphere.

BTW DM_Kirsten are u a member of the Buffyworld forum ?

johnny_rotten
Yer i suppose it may look a little spooky to you. Kes is a 70's film about a young yorkshire lad and his pet kestrel...worth a look..

wicker_man
Great film, definetly worth a look.
