Hey guys, im new here. I think the forum is awesome by the way. As you can proberly tell by my name, im a tremedous fan of the Halloween series. I thought i would just share some info on the new one schelduled to be released this year. as you can see its the 9th installment and i can garentee it will be better that the 8th one (resserrection). Although it proberly wont beat the 1st and 2nd one it will be good. does anyone else have any info on it?

i think the 9th movie will be about mike going after his nephew in the 6th movie (the baby) and it might have mikes so called brother in it (man in the black) and Loomis's son

maybe. but i think that they will do the same that htey did in H7 and H8 and pretend that 4-6 never happened. but i would like for them to go back to haddonfield and try and link all 8 films together. that would be cool.

they are not brothers. dr. wynn is the leader of the cult, thorn. as a youngster, michael was inflicted with the thorn, which means he has to kill all his living relatives in order to save mankind( i know its stupid). that sign on the wrist is to tell who has the thorn or not. and the reason michael shagged up jamie (his neice, yuk!) is cause dr. wynn (his like gaurdian) knew that as long there is still a family member remaining michael will liv on. so if im right all thats left is Baby stephan and josh tate.

And remember, everybody thought Lorrie was dead in a car accident, but in H20 she came back. The parents could be hiding as well. And also, remember the Myer's house's dungeon in the last movie. I don't think that they wanted you to think Michael built that. The parents could play a part in the upcoming movie. Or the next. That would be the logical ending to the series, killing the parents that abused him. Loomis's son could find Michael's sealed file at the asylum, find his parents, tell them he's dead, they come back to Haddenfield, he tries to find them. Interesting stuff.

Why do these guys make stories that they cannot link the sequels together with? part 1, 2 then you have to forget 3,4,5,6 and start with 7,8.
Same with Friday the 13th, part 8 Jason dead in NY as a baby, part 9 Jason back in the woods same as before, only now he is not a legend, he now has confirmed kill counts??

If you think about it, it would not be impossible to link all the films together. in H:20 years later they didnt mention the thorn but laurie did not know about that. or did she know about her daughter dieing. its not such as they didnt link the films, its more of that they chose not to mention it. H:20 was about the Laurie and Michael battling once again from the original. it would of sucked if they mentioned the thorn because it would take away the edge that laurie and michael have.

This is what I know about Halloween 9(I never saw this thread)
-Jamie Lee Curtis will not be in the film(but they are thinking about it in future films,since she's Michael's sister and she would seem to share Michael's supernatural powers)
-They're trying to bring back the old tone and feel the first film had,while at the same time bring something fresh and new to the concept.
-There was a rumor that Kane Hodder was going to have the role as
The Shape(aka Michael),but Kane has been Jason and they want to keep Michael pure in terms of the actors who portray him
-The producer also addresses the speculation that the new film might see a character similar to Dr. Loomis(the late Donald Pleasence)arriving on the scene to do battle with Michael
Oh and for people who are wondering Akkad says that there will not be 22 films(fueled by an off-the-cuff remark by Pleasence),Akkad said that there might only be two to three more films.
That's all I know for now..

1) Laurie Strode is dead. If they bring her back, Halloween will lose any little shred of credibility it is still barely hanging on to.
2)"Pure in terms of the actors who portray him"? Jason and Michael Myers are about the same size. Besides, there have been 5 different Michael's in 8 movies.
After the failure of both "H20" and "resurrection", I highly doubt that subsequent Halloweens will be released in theatres. Straight to video is the way to go for that franchise.

(1)They are thinking about it,it is not sure that they are going to put her back in.And like I just wrote she is Michael's sister so she could have not died(but most likely did),but then again they we're just thinking about it..
(2)Yes they are the same,but they just want someone who has not played any famous murders.So Michael will not be somewhat the same as other famous murders.And your right they have 5 different Michael's,but they have not played any other famous murder...
With the money their making I highly doubt that the movies won't be released in theaters..

A medical evacuation transport van careens from the road, crashing through the barricade and rumbling down a steep slope into the ditch. A dark, masked figure, MICHAEL MYERS, is clinging to the front grill of the van, as the van crashes into a large tree.
KERI TATE staggers from the smoking van, holding a large fireman’s axe.
MICHAEL MYERS rouses slowly, discovering that he is pinned between the van and the tree trunk. MICHAEL’s hands flail wildly at the mask for a moment, before he sets his gaze upon KERI.

Jason grabs Mike's head and twists it backwards. Then he flips the car over, gets in and starts driving. Then we hear Freddy laughing and a razor-clawed hand grabs Jason's neck.

I never believed it,
never thought my Carol would commit suicide.
She was getting better, stronger,
after such a long time away.
But, I also never told her I was
in contact with your mother.
She may not have had the strength yet
to deal with that, and with recounting
all the events involving Michael,
and the Evil he had become..
JOHN
What exactly IS this
Evil Michael has become?
DENNIS
Thorn..
An ancient religion.
And, like all religions,
Thorn can be bent
toward Good or Evil,
depending upon the true faith of
the believers, masters and followers..
JOHN
So, what is Thorn?
DENNIS
The ancient Druids told tales,
wove magic spells, lived their lives by the stars,
by the constellations.
Thorn is one certain grouping of stars
that aligns in the heavens once every 1,000 years,
and stays relatively aligned for the next 50 years or so.
DENNIS
At the beginning of the Season of Thorn,
the stars form a reversed ‘P-shape’:
This is Wynn, the Guide under which the druids
would begin their rituals and ceremonies.
The Wynn would bestow prosperity and good health for a millennia,
to all those who believed and who followed Wynn,
though the price for such good living was heavy indeed.
The Curse of Thorn was this price;
As the Season of Thorn wore on, and the 50 years passed
the stars would realign, into the True Thorn,
the ‘P-Shaped constellation’
It was prophesied, that followers of Thorn
were cursed for their allegiance,
a curse which doomed the child first born under the Thorn
with insanity and pathology, Evil unmatched..
(DENNIS sighs heavily, and sobs)
..it’s all my fault, really.
I was only trying to help my family
to get ahead in troubled times.
A very few of us kept the ancient knowledge alive,
in secret, forming a society of scholars
centered on the Thorn religion, for
purposes of healing and meditation and divinity.
We were called the Thorn, but, in fact, we focused
mainly on the study of the Wynn,
meditating on prosperity and health and happiness.
It wasn’t until much later
that I discovered how others were focusing
on the darker side of Thorn, the Evil side.
By the time I learned the extent of their studies and practices,
it was too late for me to save my family..
JOHN
So, Michael was born with this curse,
the Curse of Thorn?
But, I’ve heard that my mother was also
a member of the Thorn,
and that you and grandma Carol had been killed
years ago, in a car accident.
DENNIS
(slight smile)
It’s funny your mother never mentioned me,
especially after settling down in California.
In fact, it was me who gave your mother
the idea to fake her death and escape
Haddonfield to being with!
JOHN gasps in surprise
DENNIS
You see after that night, that horrible Halloween in 1963,
we had our son, Michael, committed to the
Warren County Institution in Smith’s Grove.
Carol, your grandmother, suffered a severe
physical and mental break-down as a result of
all the stress and trauma of losing
her eldest daughter and only son in such a fashion.
To avoid the continuous media circus
surrounding the events of that night,
I took Carol away from it all,
invented the car-wreck and even arranged
to fake the whole scene
with the help of a few loyal friends.
To keep her safe, to spare her the agony
of watching her mother go mad,
as much as to prevent Carol
the nightmarish reminders of that night
I left our only remaining child,
Laurie, behind, to be raised
by another family in her home, Haddonfield.
It was the hardest decision I ever had to make,
separating mother from daughter,
but I did it, and knowing now what I didn’t know then,
I am glad I did it, and would do it again.
JOHN
But, Mom knew..
She knew you were still alive!
And, even I recognize some of your handwriting!
How is that possible?
DENNIS
There is so much to tell, child.
So much to tell, and so little time..

sustaining him, guiding him..

Guiding him toward Evil.

Taunting him with the knowledge that to be free
of the curse, he must destroy his entire family!

‘The Evil will come back’ I warned,
‘Michael will return, to kill again.’

DENNIS and JOHN arrive home, park, leave car, enter house
JOHN
So, my mother fled with me, to California..
But, what about my father, and my sister?
DENNIS
I’m sorry for what I’m about to tell you, Son,
but at the time, it seemed like the best way..
INT MYERS HOUSE, MOMENTS LATER
DENNIS and JOHN enter house from EXT.
DENNIS
Your father, Jim Lloyd, divorced your mother
soon after you were born.
Your mother wasn’t dealing with the possible return of Michael
very well, she had been drinking heavily, and
even Jimmy had developed an addiction to anti-depressants.
They really did the best they could, under the circumstances,
but in the end, the courts decided it was best
to grant the divorce, and to allow the children
to choose which parent to live with.
Jamie, your sister, opted to stay with her father,
while you chose to remain with Laurie.
Your mother left Haddonfield as I had warned would be best,
while Jim stayed behind, to raise Jamie, eventually finding
a new step-mother to raise the little girl as her own.
Unfortunately, a car accident took them both from the world,
leaving Jamie alone and defenseless against Michael’s
inevitable return.
Those birthday cards and what-nots, you had
received ‘From Dad’ over your years in California?
They were from me, upon request of your mother,
who wasn’t ready to tell you the truth about your father.
Then, Michael DID return, and went after Jamie,
thinking that Laurie had been killed along with Jim
in the car accident.
He got to Jamie, just as he had gotten to Laurie,
and to—
DENNIS pauses, noticing DOOR to den ajar
JOHN
What is it, Grandfather?
DENNIS
(quietly)
Someone has been here..
DENNIS slips toward open DOOR
JOHN finds FIREPLACE POKER and stands at the ready
DENNIS recovers a .38-caliber pistol from his

quest to contain the pure Evil which consumes Michael!
No one can contain such a force of Evil!
It consumes and destroys everything it comes into contact with!

If I didn’t know better,
I’d swear you were as crazed as old Sam Loomis was!

summoned me, empowered me..

The vision prepared me for a day of great sorrow;
