Who created the orcs in the first place ? i was just reading a book and they claimed that the orcs were made by saruman but i thought that orcs were around before i thought they were made by sauron please help!

Orcs were once Elves that were taken by evil and tortured and they become elves.....and they start the productive system and....well...yeah...

Corrupted Elves. How could something so beautiful and elegent become something hideous and terrible. Oh well, I guess thats why Melkor is all evil and everything. Imagine facing him instead of Sauron. Thank God he is still in the void.
