OK, it's 5 days until New Years, so it's time to start thinking about those New Years Resolutions.

I never manage to do what I tell myself to do, so there really is no point lol.

But.... that IS the point of new years resolutions.

2002 is my year to publish a book! That's the resolution.

I know it's a common tradition in Belgium, not sure about Holland and the other countries
(heared South-Africa has it also)

On the first of January, we visit our family (d'euh) and then the little kids read letters to their grandparents, parents, and ... ... ...(don't know the name but they stand by you when you are baptised) and ofcourse they exchange gifts...

Me thinks you intend to write the book that a publisher will then publish for you? I am guesssing you lkack the resources to publish it independantly.

Nah, nearly anyone can do that. Self-publishing is getting big even for the penniless. You'd just better make sure it is successful, though.

if you're going to bring the books to the shops yourself, you don't have to pay the distributor that much

well, you have a contract, they make the books, you drive around giving it to the stores

You can buy anything in Belgium: guns, illegal fireworks, politicians... so I guess New Years resolutions are easy to come by.

But drinking on sunday nights sometimes does make the x files a little clearer.....
