The Omega
Inspired by Korri’s Film 2003 Top 10 (UK):
What movies does a Matrix-fan consider the top 10 of 2003?
Which movies (that you saw) hit rock-bottom?

Hmmm, interesting. Most of us don’t seem too impressed by T3 (aside from a few anomlies smile).

JediHDM> Last Samurai is THAT good?

The Unknown> You were REALLY disappointed by Rotk????

Gabimr2> Watch it!

Jkozzy> Animatrix 2??? Could you run that by me again??? big grin
And are you SURE X-men 3 are released in 2004??? Star Wars III won’t be out until 2005!

gabimr2
watch it?no expression

JKozzy
Hey! What's wrong with T3??? There's a great plot, and the whole movie's action, which is a perfect compliment from T1, which was mainly plot. I liked it.... I guess I'm an anomoly smile

Animatrix 2: Honestly, the only thing I saw was an article on www.comingsoon.net that mentioned there's a strong possibility for one. I guess I didn't grasp the whole "future is this year" concept very well, sorry! Not sure about X-Men 3, but 04 or 05, can't wait either way!

T1 is a classic sci-fi film
T2 followed basically the same lines as the first but with brilliant effects and scenes making it a worthy and entertaining sequel.

T3 is the studio getting all the money they can out of the franchise and destroying its legacy in the process. it felt like i was watching a spoof of the first two - it was so bad.

because it wasnt directed by james cameron it was always going to be weaker than the other two (he invented the whole concept).
having no linda hamilton or ed furlong meant it was hard to relate it to the previous films, plus the guy who played conner looked like a monkey.

the script was poor, the effects (like the time travel arrival) looked over the top and cr*p, the female terminator was a cynical gimmick.

for me the terminator series starts at T1 and ends at T2.

if they were going to do another film they should have done a prequel explaining the back story that is mentioned in T1: The machines send a terminator back, the humans send kyle reese back and blow up the time travel device "just me and him". that film, set in the war could have been great.

The Unknown
Yes, I was VERY disappointed with RotK. It was WAY too long even though they cut out about a third of the book (they should have made it into two volumes), and it kept ending and ending and ending, yet never ended.

Ice_Lightningo3
Hmm...RotK was great...T3...hmmm....what can I say?

The Omega
JKozzy> ahhh... I understand. smile I'll keep my fingers crossed for Animatrix 2.

Gabimr2> Stop posting endless nonsense in threads dealing with a specific topic. The Off-Topic Forum is for that.
