Did anyone notice that Merry was bassically left alone at the Rogan gathering with all the Riders of Rohan - as Aragorn,Gimli & Legolas went into the mountains to retrieve the army of the dead. It was only Eowyn he had to talk to and she was letting him believe he was becoming a warrior.

Just a thought I had when I woke up this morning thats all, just as Eomar was taking the piss and Theoden wasnt allowing him to fight

isnt it just so funny wen Eowyn sweeps him up and he's bouncin up n down in front of her and he goes 'my lady'..
I guess im just bein childish but it was so funny!!

we all sort of knew that she would be the one to pick him up and also to go to war. As I said before I would think that someone would have noticed the only 2 people on a horse and 1 of them being a hobbit.

Yea, but I guess with that many people and riding to war and everything those are some of the things you dont notice.

my friend and i were having a discussion about hoe justbecause the hobbits are small, everyone treats them like little children!!

Then again, it was different from the books. I kind of wish that they had kept in the whole Dernhelm thing - I liked that idea

eowyn treats him like a child just becuause of his size.
and Ye good point, shows how much aragorn etc think of hobbits, mind you he didn't want legolas or gimli to come, but yeah YEAH he was left otu YEAH!

AHHHHH again a thread about my favorite Hobbit!!!! I love it!!!!! I loved every part of the movie with Merry in it, and I wish there were more of him in the movie! I can't wait until the EE to see the rest of the scenes from Rohan and the scenes in the Houses of Healing.

Duuuuude I hated the part where Theoden rides up behind Merry and says, "None of my riders will be able to bear you as a burden..." I HATE THAT! MERRY'S NOT A BURDEN! IT'S A GIFT IF MERRY CAME ALONG! *huffs*

It's sad isn't it? *sniff* Most of the drama was based on the hobbits, the romance drama was based on ARagorn and Arwen. It's so damn cryable!

Yeah the dramatic scenes where everyone got all teary eyed and started sniffing was either during the scenes with Frodo and Sam or the ones with Merry and Pippin....

He wasn't in any big movies (if any) before LOTR, he did a well know TV show in Britain called Hetty Wainthrop(sp) and he did a few other TV productions. He has since done a few movies: Most of them Independent films and not easy to get ahold of!

Monaghan: I think there's a bond between them, because they know how much the Fellowship went through to save the Shire. But I don't think Merry ever talks to Pippin about what he has been through because it's so terrible. Merry is directly confronted with death, and it scars him. He sees people die--people he loves and cares for and tries to protect.
Boyd: Pippin's the same when the Fellowship loses Gandalf at Moria. Gandalf's almost like a God to Pippin. I suppose it would be like losing a parent when you're very young.
Monaghan: The final movie is going to break people's hearts. All the Fellowship are crushed, chewed up and ultimately spat out the other side. They're scarred forever by their journey.

yeah they should, someone on this forum posted pictures of Aragorn visiting both Faramir & Eowyn.

I very muched like how Aragorn treated the Hobbits, especially at Bree - the ranger type pulled off and made the hobbits weary of him but it turned out nice in the end.

I really hope he is in the Houses of Healing! If he is that will add at least 3 new scenes with him in the EE! I hope more!!!
