I always wanted to know how Sauron looks under his armor or whatever. I know he can change shape and form but did he ever have a solid shape/form?

He had many appearances
But probably as he could change shape there might have been simply nothing underneath his armour

That'd be sorta scary, just evil "air" that is very powerful. lol.

Yeah the Valar could. So I guess the Maia could too(I think Gandalf did before being Gandalf...)
