N.Tonks

Crash Overload
THATS IT! I am never starting another freacking poll. Everyone votes, yet you neevr know who. Because they never say anything.

LanceWindu
I......V-O-T-E-D...A-B-O-U-T

nazgulinthedark
so did i

Crash Overload
I mean they just vote and don't type in the box or anything.... And how can a almost pointless poll have 7 votes when The greatest commercial of them all have none ?

Crash Overload
Let me see.... 6 to 0... let me guess.... wink

nazgulinthedark

Baylin
A boot is something you wear on foot!

BackFire
I prefer talking correctly.

mailedbypostman
It's a free country people. But the correct AMERICAN term is about.

I didn't even know he was canadian.....

113

mailedbypostman
.........................................................................................................................

silver_tears
excuse you since when does America determine the way people speak roll eyes (sarcastic)

Baylin
It certainly doesn't determine the way I speak english, being english and all.

Anyway quite alot of English accents pronounce it boot instead of bout...

silver_tears
Exactly stick out tongue English people know best (some of them anyways wink ) and since Canada is tied to England we know better stick out tongue

mailedbypostman
I thought aboot was french at first.

Baylin
Its like anything else that is taken from another culture, it evolves and changes according to the needs at the time.

Canadians probably ran out of foot wear sometime and just adapted their bouts into boots... .... confused ... or... may...be not.... stick out tongue

silver_tears
mad I have like 30 pairs of shoes stick out tongue

Baylin
And just how many feet do you have? eek!

mailedbypostman
Answer! We want to know the truth!

silver_tears
2 blink and 10 toes happy *proud*
but alot of shoes embarrasment

Baylin
fair enough I suppose... so its like a different shoe for every occasion then

silver_tears
most definately yes

Baylin
I cant think of 30 occasions that none my 4 pairs wouldnt be suitable for.

silver_tears
laughing well us girls have alot of clothes raver

Baylin
True! The most items of clothes I've got would be t-shirts and I think I maybe got 20 otherwise its 2 of everything - the clean one & the dirty one big grin

silver_tears
laughing out loud I have..hmm dont even know how many shirts embarrasment

Baylin
I could itemizemy whole wardrobe here off the top of my head. I wont cos that would be sad but I could embarrasment

silver_tears
laughing out loud awwwwww sad

Dogbert
hmm..this has turned into a discussion about clothes and shoes? erm

Baylin
I've got enough clothes that I can be scruffy or smart at pretty much any given time and thats good enough for me big grin

Kinda glad I'm not a girly having to need so many shoes and outfits and accessories and stuff and makeup and handbags, it would be far too complicated for my wee brain to cope with!

Yeah clever that isnt it! big grin

BackFire
some of you are actually trying to argue that the correct way to pronounce the word 'about' is 'aboot'? That's rich.

silver_tears
indeed it is yes clothes love and who's arguing

Dogbert
do any canadians actually say it "aboot"?

Baylin
yes but when they are talking about a single item of footwhere stick out tongue

silver_tears
no damn prejudice mad
what the hell I speak much better than a lot Americans stick out tongue *cough 113 cough*

Dogbert
but have u ever heard sum 1 say "aboot" when they were speaking?

silver_tears
no never no

Dogbert
o, cus i wuld probally laugh if sum 1 said "aboot" to me, where did that whole "aboot" thing start n e ways?

Baylin
someone probably misheard something

silver_tears
laughing out loud that must be it!

SpikeSpiegel
It's about, which reminds me of a sabrina episode that was on tv before:
I went oot and aboot

Crash Overload
And we only say "A" At the end of a question. example: Whats Wrong with you "A"?"

And "A" is not some one, example "A" does not = "G"
