Did anyone else realize that no matter how many more Jason movies they make he can never really be killed until Jason X since it takes place in 2455 or whatever. So if Jason XI takes place on Earth, we know that Jason is going to live right?

Evil Dead
yes...........

unless the next movie takes place after jason X...........

remember at the end of Jason X.........he lands in a lake on a planet..........that planet may be as evolved as Earth was when the original Friday the 13th movies were made............this new planet may be just like Earth was in the 1980s............

Evil Dead
I just read the "Friday the 13th XI press release" post on this page.......

It doesn't make sense. It says that the movie will take place AFTER Jason X........but will include Tommy Jarvis. Tommy Jarvis would have been long dead..........and he couldn't have been frozen because in Jason X the teacher states that Jason and the girl they found with him are the oldest people to have ever been frozen and thawed out.

Big contradiction...........I now doubt that source.

false source maybe

You guys, its a friday the 13th movie, they stopped making sense long ago

h0ck3yh0rr0r
yup^ lol

The Unknown
Well, they could possibly have had Tommy frozen. Many of the movies contradict what the previous has stated. Like in Part 5, they say Jason was cremated, lol.

shaber
Yeah, Jason was comparable to the cigarette ash laughing out loud

Slasher flicks to me are just a body count with cool visuals. Why even bother with the ridiculous bacvkgrounds. The makers of these slasher flicks are realizing how silly they are and in turn satirizing their own work, because hey if its good, great, if its bad, better. Who really doesn't enjoy a bad horror movie? They are hilarious.

yeah just cos they say jason and the woman were the oldest people thawwed out, Jarvis could still be frozen, the just havn't thawed him out.

What really annoys me about long running horror franchises (such as Ft13th, Halloween & NoES) is that as the series goes on and new directors, co-writers, producers and who knows who else are brought in the series story lines (inc. the so called franchise rules) are thrown out in place of new ways to thrill the audience.
