ToMacco
MICHAEL BAY? MICHAEL BAY?

He should be killed for his piss poor directing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pearl Harbor was good, but it would have been Oscar worthy in the hands of a compitent director. Armageddon sucked ass, Con Air was a waste of time.

Bay is a choppy director, it's too hard to follow his dumbass approch to films. He is TERRIBLE. Possibly the worst director in the business.

Michael Bay should direct Keau Reeves in a movie called "The biggest dumbasses in the stupidest movie ever."

Bad Boy
ToMacco, do you actually have any knowledge on the production of film? Fair enough Bay often has fast editing but so what? Does it really matter. Besides, this fast editing helps to signature his movies. Also, you must look at his shots- they are awsome. Also all four of his films has some sort of genuine emotion! Trust me, I know what I'm talking about because I'm a film critic.

By the way, Bay didn't direct Con Air. Simon West did!

Machine

9.MEL GIBSON
10.ROBERT ZEMEKIS

Thomas H
For the first I agree with you when you say that ph was good.
I dont agree with armageddon, its a very good movie
And before you make a fool out of your self, think before you write, Michael has never directed con air!!
And lets face it he will be around for years and years!!!!!!!
End of story!!!!

Bad Boy
Damn right!

Thomas H
evil face smokin'

mah

Dim
Looks like It's going to take me a while to figure out the movies half of those directors did! laughing out loud

BackFire349
and actually, all of peter jacksons movies are very entertaining. but im guessing most of you dont like horror movies so....whatever.

Thomas H
The same for me, have not heard about half of these persons! laughing out loud

TeCk-IcE
Horror movies can be quite good,,,,but it depends.

John Caprenters Halloween was good.
Halloween 3 was a real stincker

Thomas H
Well some are but all of them are a like! smokin'

Dim
I don't know..I can't think of a horror movie (except for Blair Witch) that seemed at all innovative in the last decade.

Thomas H
Blair witch sucked big time, and some more, it was sooooooooo boring!!!! nothing scarry about it, it was overtated! smokin'

King Jedi
I agree with Dim.

Thomas H
Has anyone seen blair...2.
The movie has to suck! i have not seen it, and I will never see it either! smokin'

BackFire349
if you want a good horror movie see texas chainsaw massacre.... (in simpsons comic book guy voice) best horror movie...eveer.

Thomas H
I dont like horror movies, they dont make any sence to me! smile

Bad Boy
Blair Witch was only good because of the clever marketing. Apart from that, it sucked.

Uh..... Top Ten Directors anyone?

Dim
Sucked seems to be your favorite word...

At least it was an original idea and didn't have a cut and dryed ending..

King Jedi
And proved what you can do with very little budget but a lot of good ideas.

Thomas H
The idea was good, but the movie was boooooooooooring!
ZZZZZZZZZ smile smokin'

King Jedi
I thought it was great.

queeq
Robert Altman should be on the list I guess.

ToMacco
"The Blair Witch Project" is one of the ballsiest movies in decades. With the acception of "Psycho", I would call it the greatest horror film of all time.

How many dozens of movies come out every year about teenagers with big titties running from the invincable bad guys with huge knives?

Blair Witch is a much needed refreshment, because what scares you is not some hollywood makeup creation, it's what you can't see that scares you. For once, imagination becomes the fear factor. What you can't see is far more frightening that what you can see.

Unseen evil making noise beyond their campfire was very disturbing. This is one of the greatest movies ever made.

Thomas H
He makes boring movies, after my opinion, I go to the cinemas to get entertained!
smokin'

queeq
Ahem.

BackFire349
if you liked blair witch, you should go search out the movie 'cannibal holocaust'. blair witch was good, but this movie puts it to shame in every way. its what blair witch woulda been if they werent going for popularity with an R rating.

Machine
Backfire is completely correct ,ta movie is sooooo goood ,its great ,its not only the goriest movie ive seen in a long time ,but it also has a great story . and the real!!!!!!! killing of animals was a added bonus!

Thomas H
laughing out loud laughing out loud

BackFire349
i dont know if ballsy is the right word for blair witch. i mean, theres many horror movies that are not the normal teen slasher that come out every year, they just dont make it big. and its not the greatest horror film of all time. i can think of 5 right off hand that are much more "ballsy" and creative.

Dim
Name em..

btw, I agree with queeq about Altman.

Thomas H
altman is boring!

queeq
No he isn't.

Thomas H
Oh yes he is! smile

queeq
Tell me, how many films by Robert Altman have you seen?

Thomas H
laughing out loud
I have just seen some bits of the movie, because Its so boring it to die of, wasent quills directed by altman...it realy sucked!

BackFire349
cannibal holocaust (obvious inspiration for blair witch in many many ways, and much more daring)

texas chainsaw massacre (created the slasher sub genre in horror, paved the way for about 70% of the horror films that came out after it)

night of the living dead (duh)

henry - portrait of a serial killer (another movie i think you would like tommaco, if you liked how blair witch relied on what wasnt shown to be scary, then you'll like this, as it does the same thing and doesnt show much, but makes you rely on your imagination most of the time)

last house on the left (the first ever exploitation film and the first movie to deal with explicit scenes of rape and murder in an exploitation fassion, wes cravens first, and best movie)

queeq

King Jedi
I've never seen any of those films. embarrasment

Thomas H
copyed from imdb?? laughing out loud

TeCk-IcE
laughing out loud

Thomas H
evil face

queeq
Yes, I did. Why?

Thomas H
just woundering!
Nothing else!

queeq
Good.

Thomas H
why is that good?? stick out tongue

queeq
It means you're not getting any ideas.

Ushgarak
If you like movies, WATCH 'THE PLAYER'!

Seriously.

Dim
MASH...Now that was a good movie.. laughing out loud

Thomas H
Whay ideas??? rolling on floor laughing

Thomas H
I mean why!

King Jedi
I just watched Cookies Fortune and didn't like it.

queeq
I did actually. It's not a super-Altman film, but very typical as always.

Mash was excellent. So was The Player and so was Short Cuts. And many more...
